This was my third or fourth visit. I'd been for lunch before. This was my first dinner. 6p Saturday evening. Very crowded. The staff was wonderful. Maitre'd, coat check, waiter, bartender all great. I would've enjoyed the food more if it wasn't so overpriced. 4 scallops = $29. Sorry, that's too much. Side dishes are extra. You could easily spend $50 per person just on an entree and a side. Add on drinks, coffee, dessert. No thanks. I don't think I can recommend the Redeye Grill. And probably won't go back

We have been to the Red Eye Grill several times, as a couple, and in groups of 4, 8 and 12. All these times have been very good. The food is presented nicely, the wait staff eager to please and a good time was had by all.

Been here many times, but not in a few years. Feel that quality of food has changed since then. Lots of " show" but lacking flavor. Definitely better dining options for the price. Did we all just order the wrong thing?

We took our out-of-town family here and they were very impressed. We go for special occasions, as it is pricey, and we always enjoy the food and service.

Redeye has the distinct advantage of location, just a minute from City Center and Carnegie Hall, a couple of minutes from Dizzies, and not far from the northern Broadway theaters. The food is competent but uninspired, and somewhat overpriced. Chicken Paillard was perfectly prepared with fresh veggies, not overcooked. Paella was good but not great; good shellfish and sausage, but missing the meat (chicken, duck or rabbit) that is part of the Valencian specialty. Fun, nice looking place. They even make the kids feel welcome. Not cheap but a good value.
