Across the street from Carnegie Hall and an easy pre-performance meal. Food is good, slightly pricy. Friendly service though timing is a bit uneven as they try to accommodate a rush coming in at 6:30 and trying to leave by 7:45
Was disappointed they had taken the lobster pot pie off the menu and the cotton candy with the check has also disappeared. Our waiter was always busy with other tables but never with us, we always had to get his attention. This has been a favorite restaurant, this time we were not happy, will not rush back.T
It was my husband's birthday and I requested a table by the window. We arrived at the restaurant and were greeted with a "we have been waiting for you..." and the host escorted us to a beautiful table by the window. The service was excellent. We will definitely be repeat customer.
recommend with caveat it is close to Carnegie Hall and kid friendly.

Great restaurant with great food! The location can't be beat; ask for a table by the window to "people watch"! The entire staff was very friendly. I have been visiting NYC for 15 + years and this without a doubt was one of the best meals I have ever had in the city! Unfortunately, it took 3 tries to get an acceptable table. Granted, it was a busy Saturday early evening. The gentleman at the front desk, Mike, was very professional and did eventually settle us nearer the center of the room away from the wind tunnel at the door and the waiter's station. Certainly one of the best in NYC.
Went there for a business dinner with co-workers and manager. Received a great table after a very hearty greeting at front desk. Waiter was extremely attentive, professional and witty. All enjoyed the food and had a good experience. This was not a foody experience where the dishes were memorable or even noteworthy but not bad either. Expensive, yes but consider location and atmosphere to know why. Are there better places to go? probably but served purpose for us and I did not get flack for suggesting it, so happy about that.
