So I came here before to get sedatives for my little dog so I could trim his nails. It didn't work. And his nails grew out, but we're slightly trimmed by the concrete. However his dew claws were very long and curling back toward his toe so I brought him in for a nail trim, microchip and rabies shot. I told them how difficult it was for anyone to get near his nails and that he may need to be sedated. They told me they would try first without sedation and guess what! They succeeded. It was like magic because this little guy p... read more
I LOVE this place. It's really nice to be able to afford expensive pet care at a much lower rate. They always take great care of my cat and dog, and have even helped put my cat on a diet. Since putting my fat man on a diet, he has not had a asthma attack for over 6 months. I will continue to come to this clinic, and I will recommend this clinic to all friends and family
Before Spanky (my 18 month American Bulldog) decided to eat a football, I had never stepped foot in this clinic. Although they were highly recommended by a friend, their dogs had only had general check-ups and shots, NOT anything significant. But because Spanky had spent the whole night vomiting, I was desperate to have him seen by someone asap! From the moment we arrived, the attention to customer service was above and beyond what I have come to expect in any "walk-in" type clinic. Being a single mom, COST was a big is... read more
This place is amazing. Their staff is great, very affordable, and super convenient. I've brought two kittens here (brother and sister) and they are very caring and gentle. One of the kittens has had a few problems with injuries so he has been a few times. I always appreciate the follow up calls too. I also brought in my 15-year old cat for a teeth cleaning and teeth extraction who hasn't been to the vet in about 10 years . The procedure was done within 3 hours, they provided me with instructions for care and walked me though... read more
This place gets an A for effort. I came in today to get my puppy sedatives so I could give him a nail trim. Just to be clear, I have tried to nail train my guy for a good couple months as described on the ASPCA website, but the poor little guy still cries at the sight of a nail clipper! I'm not a fan of drugging my dog up, but prior to this, he hasn't had a trim in at least 3 months. His nails are as sharp as a cats' and he is starting to scratch up my furniture and pierce my leg every time he jumps on my lap or stands... read more
I have been taking my pets to Value Pet Clinic in Renton for a few years now. I have a good friend who is a vet tech. @ another vet hospital in Renton, and whom actually gave me one of our cats.....but I still choose Value Pet Clinic as it's affordable and I've received great service every time so far. Recently one of our cats has been diagnosed with a gum/tooth disease. His gums and teeth get infected frequently and he has to go in every so often for a teeth cleaning, antibiotics, and sometimes get teeth pulled. The people ... read more
Prior to Saturday (July 9, 2011) I took my dog Dakota to this clinic for her rabies shot... they were nice and I was pleased with their service... after that I went to Helping Hands Vet in Lynnwood (as we live in Lynnwood) and those people were SO RUDE that I didn't want to take Dakota back there again.. they didn't treat her very well either (Dakota is a Pitt/Rott mix and IS SO not the sterotype!)... I took Dakota in for issues with her allergies to Value Pet Clinic and they were great! I can see that they actually tested... read more
Value Pet Clinic is outstanding! Just days after I first got my kitten he got his head stuck in his toy and since it was minutes before their closing time, I called and they stayed open for me to rush him in. When I got there they took him to the back, and within minutes had his neck free and had done a full head-to-toe exam. By then it was clearly after closing time, and all of the friendly staff stayed over to rescue my kitty - and for FREE! I was hooked and have been back every since for vaccines, nuetering, and for a... read more
Let's face it- veterinary care can be pretty expensive. I've visited Value Pet Clinic when my normal vet doesn't have a last minute appointment or if it's the weekend. It's great that this place is now open 7 days a week. Before I've had a problem on a weekend and I've had to visit the emergency vet which cost well over $700. I'll be honest- the vet techs here aren't my favorite. They don't seem very professional and one girl was downright a bit rude. The vet that saw our dog though was super nice, very friendly and is someo... read more
