I am three weeks out from an anterior left hip replacement. I can't thank Dr. Rutherford and the entire Emerge team enough. I had no pain in my hip at all after the surgery. The surgical soreness, swelling and bruising improved quickly thanks to the excellent pre-op and post-op instructions. I was off the walker after 2 weeks (stopped using it at home earlier). He was very pleasant and listened well. He explained things very well and patiently answered all my questions. This was my first consult with him and I was very pleased.
Dr. Rutherford is an excellent clinician and highly skilled surgeon. My partial knee replacement resulted in zero further problems with that portion of my knee and the recovery went very well. I would recommend him to anyone for a similar operation. Further, he is a very friendly, caring and approachable individual that truly has your care uppermost in his mind.
In depth discussion, I expect because last app't of day for Dr. R. Good because skipped 2023 app't on my part. I'm 73, w/ deceased parents living to mid-90s. So I need to eplan to be a patient for many more yrs. 12.5 yrs since partial knee replacement by Dr. Liebelt.

I had a full knee replacement. First- the result was outstanding. The process to get there was exceptional as Dr Rutherford and his team were responsive to questions, gave clear instructions and followed up with insurance and other providers effectively.
My initial visit with Dr. Rutherford gave me a great first impression. It was a consult in regards to possible joint surgery. He was professional yet friendly, patient in answering my questions, and took the time to explain my procedure when it becomes necessary. I feel comfortable in scheduling my procedure with him when the time comes.
