I “inherited “ Dr. Rutherford when Dr. Liebelt retired. Dr. Rutherford takes his time answering my questions to my satisfaction. He is caring and explains options. I’m awaiting knee replacement and fully trust my doctor to do my surgery!
Dr. Rutherford is absolutely outstanding!!! I had two knee replacements, and he did a fantastic job! He is so pleasant and friendly. Most of all he is very competent as a surgeon!!! I would highly recommend him to anyone!!!
Dr. Rutherford originally explained my surgical options carefully and helped me choose what I am now convinced was the right one for me. In subsequent visits he was never rushed and always seemed committed to answering my questions fully and getting me the best possible outcome during my rehab. The surgery facility where he operates also impressed me with their commitment to best , and safest, surgical outcomes. Highly recommended.
My 1st visit with Dr. Rutherford was for a severe pain in my right leg which I thought it might need a replacement since the pain was so severe. (I had already been to another doctor for the same reason. ) He diagnosed it, gave me a steroid injection and my pain was gone overnight! I knew then, he was the right choice. Later, I did need knee replacement in the left leg and knew he would be the one doing it with complete success. I would recommend him to anyone, he's the best!
He is very personable and hip replacement surgery went well.
He knows his stuff. He explains everything well and doesn’t rush you in and out and makes sure he answers all your questions. I would highly recommend him! Excellent bedside manner. I just love him.

I am three weeks out from an anterior left hip replacement. I can't thank Dr. Rutherford and the entire Emerge team enough. I had no pain in my hip at all after the surgery. The surgical soreness, swelling and bruising improved quickly thanks to the excellent pre-op and post-op instructions. I was off the walker after 2 weeks (stopped using it at home earlier).
