Fixed price. Quite pricey. Several choices for each course but we miss the “old Bartolottas” and choices. They change menu often depending on the area of Italy they want to emphasize.

I understand the need to get maximum seating in for such a popular place but the tables in some areas are just too cramped for comfort.

Hard to believe the price fix menu was even an idea let alone actually coming to fruition? Be an Italian restaurant please, absolutely no reason to attempt experimental changing -regional Italian dishes with a low skill kitchen. The ambience & location are perfect for an old school Italian restaurant in Wauwatosa get in the correct lane - give Wauwatosans what they want - dinner for (4) with only (2) alcoholic drinks was $500 ? Absurd for bland dry heartless food - will never return

I think that this location is not as good at the harbor house nor the lake park bistro. I had the perch and it was super oily. I wanted a vegetarian option as I don’t like meat and this was the only main entree I could have other than the pasta . Jaime was nice . She was friendly .

Food was okay. Limited menu. Servings too small. Price too high. Felt ripped off at the end of the evening. Better options available elsewhere.
Way overpriced. Plastic glassware. Crowded, tightly seated area. Bland and uninspired courses. Will not be back. A true disappointment.
Less impressive than dining experiences before this one. While we asked our server to give us some time before ordering we didn't intend to be ignored. Food was ok but not that special, especially for fix pris at $75-80. Zuppe rather boring, pasta dishes were good but lacked any punch or great flavor, same with veal and dessert. With many good Italian restaurants in the area I found this trip to Bartolatta's disappointing.
Food was good, although we didn’t realize that they were doing a special menu for Sicily. But it was good. Service was highly mediocre. We had team servers as usual, but both seemed incredibly disinterested and distracted the entire time. We had to ask for bread, we had to ask for more water, they didn’t clear plates, and we were seated at a two person table, which has little room for additional plates are cutlery.

Thank you for your feedback! We explore a new Italian region every six-weeks or so. If you'd like to give our service another chance, we'd love for you to come back and try Bologna.
Each table is only about a foot away from another table. The host actually had to PULL OUT the table so one of us could get into the other seat because there isn’t enough room in between tables. My appetizer of octopus was inedible….soo hard and chewy. My husband actually spit his piece out after numerous times trying to chew and swallow it. The pasta course tasted like a microwaveable beef stroganoff. My sea bream had no flavor and my husbands beef was just okay. I got the cannoli and he got the tiramisu and we both didn’t ... read more
