We had not been to this restaurant in many years but always enjoyed the experience. Upon being seated on this random Saturday in April we came to find out that our only ordering option was a 4 course dinner framed around an area in Italy, this dinner rang the bell at $65 dollars. Noise was rated higher because some of the tables were a little too close to each other.
We have been here many times and have always loved our food. However, this time a 4 course meal was the only choice we had and it was terrible. Not only were the dishes not good, we felt rushed to get through each course. We will not be going back unless the regular menu is an option. It makes me wonder if the restaurant is struggling and is only offering a pricey $65, course menu to help. Very disappointing from a restaurant we used to love.
This was probably the worst experience to date at this particular restaurant.
We were looking forward to our first visit to the restaurant. We did not realize that a four-course meal was the only offering. Be prepared for that if you are looking for something more flexible. What was most disappointing was the food quality. Every person who ordered received an entre and pasta that was extremely high in sodium. For the money and the restaurant's reputation, we were expecting more.
We’ve been to Bartolotta’s many times and I guess I would just say that I’m getting tired of the pris fixe menu. I’m hoping that they will someday soon go back to their regular menu. It was much more exciting. I just don’t always like having so few choices and having a hard time trying to decide what to order. Also the tables by the windows are cold. They need to do better weather stripping by windows.
Food was nothing special, none of were enthused about the entrees. Service was not up to Bartolotta standards. I was very disappointed in the whole experience.
Used to love Bartalolotta but did not enjoy the new menu. Most of the menu items were Germanic and heavy. The waiter did not explain the dishes and it was confusing. When I said the cabbage rolls were too salty they were apologetic and quickly replaced the dish with a different item which I appreciated but overall the menu Was too heavy and did not reflect Joe Bartolottas hospitality heart which seeks to please the diner.
This was not the caliber of good that it should be
