Pasta with prosciutto and peas was very weak on the pea and prosciutto side, tube pasta and cream sauce. Sauce was good but it was really equivalent to a chain restaurant - I wasn’t looking for a heavy bowl of pasta, it was lacking. The mussels were average and I’ve had much better at this same restaurant. Made reservation which asked about the occasion, our anniversary, was not even mentioned by our waiter. Not my fave and my husband loves it there except he said he’s disappointed in his food this time.

Everything was great but the location of where they sat me was not very nice. Felt like we were in the middle of a crowd staring at us.

Ristorante Bartolotta has been a favorite of ours for many years. Although the food, in general, is still good, the service is not what it used to be 10-15 years ago. Servers used to be more attentive at offering the bread basket (had to ask for bread twice) and no longer is freshly-grated cheese offered table-side. Now, small ramekins of cheese are left on the table for the diner to help themselves. First experience with the renovated Ristorante was uneven and ultimately concerning. Service was uneven and did not demonstrate the strength of prior years. Salads were delivered without an offer for fresh ground pepper...at those prices, really? Bread service was “one and done” and everyone noticed portions were reduced. While the pasta was delicious and the duck ragu fantastic, the mushroom pasta lacked mushrooms and flavor. The fruiti de mare had great seafood (some sand in a scallop) but the portion was too small. There should have been more spinach or some risotto to make this more of an entree and less of an appetizer sized plate. The filet was beautiful and tasty but this is more of a steakhouse mentality. Wow, not sure what happened, but service and food have declined. We have dined here before and usually for special occasions. We knew they were closed for a few weeks to update, so we were curious and excited. Too many sloppy mistakes by servers that continued through entire meal. The service was great, but I had to send my gnocchi back because it was cold. Very disappointing at a restaurant at this price level. The food was good, but nothing special.

We came to Ristorante Bartolotta to celebrate Mother’s Day. The service was was very uneven (and very unlike a Bartolotta restaurant). Even when it was better it was not very good. It was a big disappointment to my wife. She was ready to get up and leave.
