Not impressed. Have been a diner at Saltlik each time I visit Calgary, but this was definitely an experience unlike the others. Service was lacking and food wasn't prepared as ordered (after sending it back twice). Not the Saltlik I remember.
The steak was extremely under cooked. When we sent it back, they put that partially eaten meat back on the grill. It took 10 minutes to get it back. They didn’t even give a discount off the bill. When you pay $56 for a steak. It should be cooked perfectly.
I was very, very disappointed with the steak. This is not the Saltlik of old but may be a new incarnation that I will never return to? If you are looking for a true steakhouse experience, go to another steak restaurant in Calgary
Our reservation was for 5:45pm on Saturday night. We were seated by about 5:55pm. Placed our drink orders, over 15 minutes to get drinks to the table. Server was asked about the mustard Brussel sprouts that came with the meals and if we could change them out, he said no, but could buy another side dish. Food was cold. Very very disappointed. Was a regular customer this is twice now. No need to go back. Other steakhouse options around the corner.

Would have stayed for dinner if we were served.
The food was really disappointing, the steaks were overpowered with garlic, the asparagus and mushrooms were overdone and poor.
Ordered the Tomahawk Steak 40oz - turned out to be the kind of cut you would expect at a non steakhouse. Calamari for appetizer was terrible. Used to be a signature. This was an annual occasion for us - been doing it for the last 6 years. Maybe we just caught them on an off night.
I am giving a fair review based more so on the good food and ambiance but our group felt rushed to leave because there was supposed to be another reservation at that time, even though there were large tables available when we left, and nobody was waiting to come in .. too bad, we would have ordered desert and more drinks but forced to go elsewhere.
