We left because no one came to the table to serve us for 20 mins at least. Went next door hoping Charcut could get us in last minute and they sat and served us right away!

Average at best. Took my two friends to Saltlik while I was staying in town. The meal started off fine - nice spot on the patio and a polite server. Some good drink specials. Upon asking our server for some clarification/info on type of steak cuts, she proceeded to simply only point out the different sizes that each steak was offered in. We picked this restaurant for my birthday dinner due to it's high ratings but we were thoroughly disappointed with the experience. When we informed the host it was a birthday dinner we were offered a complement glass of champagne but we noticed several other tables in the restaurant also had received the same glass of champagne... Our server Jill was incredible, she really saved the experience with her excellent service. The food was so disappointing. We had issues with both appetizers and our mains. Our appetizers were really badly portioned and excessive in some coleslaw garnish. My salmon was the worst, completely dry and flavourless. We go here semi- regularly because we have always had a very nice evening. But this time was much different. We made a reservation 3 days prior and then got sat in the basement at a bar table. When you want a romantic evening at a high end restaurant, sitting at a bar table isn't ideal. After being served our drinks, they tasted nothing like they had in the past and we made poorly. I came Friday and there is still not a lot of people, the server was the worst, it was snowing heavily and I was wearing my snowboots and coat and I look disheveled from the weather, I came in and told them about my reservation. The server gave me a cold stare and was VERY RUDE, they took my order and I ordered the butchers block which is sooooo salty, the caesar salad was overly acidic, i feel the chef or line cook did not even taste the dressing!! Brought wrong wine, basically sat us and then ignored us. We left after our appetizer, corked our wine and left. Disappointed. Then when we asked for bill, they didn’t ask why? Weird.
Table beside us with 3 drunk folks pretty much yelling as they were talking made for a annoying dinner
Our stomachs got upset shortly after the dinner. We assumed is related to food that we ate in restaurant.
