We regularly go to Saltlik in Banff every time we're there and we love it, we always get the biggest steak on the menu. This was our first time at Saltlik Calgary and were very disappointed. Even though we had a reservation, we got seated in one of the lesser spots. They moved us after we requested it - to a spot that was better. Our server was nice. The problem was the food. Steak was overcooked hard as a rock and overpriced. All our sides were cold when we got them. Since it was already later and we were hungry we didn’t send it back but the $300 bill wasn’t great value. I used to come to this place all the time. In fact I used to say it was the best steakhouse in Calgary. Terribly disappointing it’s gone so far downhill
When you have booked a table one month in advance and arrive on time, I don't expect to have to wait while a table is prepared for my party. Poor slow service, I don't expect to have to go and find my server to ask for drinks and it would be nice if the table was set with crockery before the food arrived. Not all choices on menu were available, food was mediocre. Will not be returning to dine here.
Food was sub par for the price. Hate to say this but had a better sirloin at Boston Pizza
Haven't been for a long time. Still very salty. Had better steak at Cactus club for comparable price just simply as a better cut without getting to the taste. Rated service low as all our softdrinks were empty halfway through the food and no top ups or water were offered.
The food was disappointing and over priced. I sent my food back twice and they ultimately comped it. The service was excellent but sadly it didn't make up for the poor food. Would not return.
Food was sub par - ordered steak , it was layered with pepper ( we love pepper but this was way overly done). Service took a long time .
Host at front was horrible. Asked for a simple move of seats away from drafty window while restaurant was empty and he refused. Won’t be back.
Food was horrible! Steak was way under cooked and our server was terrible. Do not recommend
