As soon as our server, Ryan, was aware it was a business meal he immediately began pushing the most expensive meal and side on my client and I. $140 lunch for two with no drinks, unbelievable. With so many steak restaurants in the core (and across the street) I know where I will NOT be going again. Food was blah. Some of the steaks were OK, some were not good and undercooked for the request. Sides were mass market - like Montana’s! Wine was expensive - bill was over $500 for 5 of us with only mains, 3 cocktails and a bottle of wine. Waitress lacked knowledge.
A few minutes after we sat down, a server came to say hi. Then another 5-10 minutes later, another server came to ask if we want water. They never told us their names. Staff, including the usher are not enthusiastic at all, did not make us feel we are welcome there.
The food we ordered was good, and we appreciated having a sommelier. However, throughout the evening we had to ask for service several times including requesting our sides, another round of drinks, our bill, etc. The lack of service made for a disappointing dinner.
Sent my steak back 3 times, no accommodations were made. By the time my meal was ready, my lunch companions were done. Very expensive for the value and service delivered.
This was some of the poorest service I have ever received at a restaurant! Our server was rude. First it was our wedding anniversary and even though the restaurant called earlier in the day to confirm our reservation and it was mentioned they did nothing to make the evening special! This was our first visit to Saltlik and unfortunately we won’t be going back. The service was exceptional but the quality of the steaks for the price we paid was underwhelming at best. The prices were premium, the steaks mediocre and our meals did not include any bread or vegetables. Disappointed!
Its okay, not great though. We had calamari for apetizer, and its probably the saddest calamari ive ever had, and i've tried lots of them in many different places. I've had the prime rib and shrimp skewers, again, its ok, but not great, i dont think its even worth 40 bucks for both. Shrimp was bland, steak was ok, i ordered med rare and i got brownish meat on the inside. I would recommend as I’ve liked it in the past. This time our server wasn’t particularly easy to deal with. We were splitting several dishes and she opted not to bring the normal side of the dish and then charged us full price. When we asked about it she got a bit snarky. Not an awesome situation.
