Came here for a late mother’s day dinner. Ordered appetizers, entrees and dessert. My mom had just finished her dinner when she said they had to leave. Later found out she had just made it out of the restaurant and got sick. I didn’t feel good after either. Neither of us were sick before hand. Would be weary about coming here. We will not be back.

I'd like to do a review on the fact that by mistake I was overcharged more than $100 and when I went in to sort this out I was told that unless I filled out a form that gave all my personal details expiry date and personal code of my credit card I would not be refunded. There is no way I am giving someone all my personal credit card details to keep on file. I usually live Saltlik and visit every time I come to Calgary. This time around, I brought my parents for mother's day lunch. My mother had the worst experience. Her steak was overcooked and the lobster mashed potatoes had not even an ounce of lobster in it (it says it has 4oz but that is false), it also had FRENCH FRIES strewn throughout the potatoes. I won't be back, I didn't realize how ridiculously expensive this place was for average food. Lunch "special" was steam sandwich with lobster Mac and a shrimp skewers. Generally special would indicate there is a price break. Cost was over $60 for lunch ($55 for the steak and $10 for the shrimp)...not including a drink. I feel if your going to over an over the top lunch special you should let people know how expensive it is.

This was my second time coming to Saltik. I wanted my parents to try it out especially since we were celebrating two birthdays (myself & my father). Working in hospitality myself with a 4 diamond star hotel, I expect we give excellent quality service to our guests as they are taking time out to enjoy special moments and giving us their business. Remove empty drink glass, but did not ask if I wanted another drink. Order another drink and they forgot until I asked again.

Four of us had a pre-theater dinner at the Saltlik. Restaurant was busy, but not so when we first arrived. A performance review of a staff member was occurring at the next table which was a little unusual. Appetizers were good as were the pre-dinner drinks. Dinner, however, was underwhelming. My wife's chicken and vegetables arrived luke warm, and our friends fish dinners arrived skin-on on top of vegetables in a pool of broth. They weren't impressed.
