We waited 15 minutes to order and our waiter never showed up. Poor servicess
Poorly trained staff-did not explain menu and dishes were not as described. Misfire on bar service, had to send a dish back, filet mignon 20% fat and gristle. Server roughly stacked dishes in front of us to bus table. Better attention to detail at Denny's. Food ok but not worth the fail otherwise.
Nice place. Overpriced. Seasoning was way off. Pasta was way too salty. Steak also salty. I know the name is Saltlik but does that mean bury everything in salt? Still drinking water two days later.
Quality, service and ambiance were very disappointing. Not worthy for a third the price!
Took my family and future in-laws here to celebrate before our wedding rehearsal. Food came out alright for most people, but my burger came out on a crumbly bun that tasted like dust along with meat tasting like newspaper. I barely managed one bite completely killing my appetite for the day. After about 20 minutes, the server checked in and briefly apologized, assuring me that the burger would not be charged to my bill--only after checking with the manager. We had a table booked for late in the evening. When we arrived to the restaurant, we saw a note saying that the place was closed due to a broken water pipe. I suggest you call your clients and inform them, otherwise it's a waste of time coming downtown for dinner.
After having an exceptional dining experience at "The Keg" while on vacation in Calgary, our visit to Saltlik was a complete disappointment. From the 30 minute wait to get a cocktail when we sat down, to main courses being delivered 15 minutes before sides, steaks cut very thin, no bread offered, our wine being left across the room & not re-poured for us (I did get up and get it myself) When our server did come to pour it (after it was "empty") he tipped it upside down over my husband's shirt to show us that it was "empty" a... read more
We waited 43 minutes for our meal to come out and then they forgot to cook one of the meals. The prawn skewer had shrimp not prawns on it. One of the steak meals they brought a sandwich instead of the steak an accompaniments, but it took so long for the meal to come out that my client just went ahead and ate it.
It was our first time coming to this establishment as it was recommended by many people. My plan was a special birthday dinner for someone special, but that didn't end up as planned.
