We were there for an hour and left because our food was late in coming. In fact it didn’t come. No apologies either. Very disappointed. Will be along time before I go back there again. Too bad as we just had a company function there.
The food was delicious; however, the service is the reason I will never return! Had 5 different people serving us, our water and wine took over 20 minutes (ordering and waiting), ordered an appetizer which was cooked and showed up to the table before a server even came to take our dinner order.
Service was non existent! Salad was not fresh. The entire staff appeared unorganized. After telling the hostess that our reservation on open table, they marked us as a no show! Save your time, money and go elsewhere.
Been to the Saltlik before and loved it! This time though I was not impressed .. the Pasta had so much salt in it it was almost unedible.. Waiter didn't seem to care too much.. stated "oh yes we find a lot of people say that" then if so why is it not changed? or a least given a warning... did nothing to correct the situation..
The food was very disappointing. Calamari was rubbery, duo of dips was pretty bland. I had spaghetti and prawns and it was just ok. My husband had the striploin and he said it was fine, nothing special and a little overcooked. Our server was very attentive and personable, very good service. A shame the food was just average. We don't get a chance to go on date nights very often so we try to choose an amazing restaurant when we do get a chance. The service was terrible until they finally got rid of the first waitress. She was terrible and should have been fired
Usually great, but seems to have gone downhill. Think we'll take a break from this place for a while.
This restaurant is definitely overrated. We had an early reservation because we had theater tickets. It was my wife's birthday. When we arrived at the restaurant we had a wait becaus the hostess was not at her station, we watched as she spoke with another employee laughing and joking for a few minutes until she acknowledged us. Food was tasty enough, but for the cost of the meal it isn't worth going back. There are LOTS of restaurants in the immediate vicinity of Saltlik, and I'd say the food quality at Saltlike is comparable to those other restaurants around them. The cost though? Come on... A business lunch for two people, no alcohol, should not be $100 (well, $98.11 to be precise). Sorry, I'll go somewhere else and the clients will be just as happy.
