I had lunch with a colleague at Saltlik on May 27. We each ordered the lunch "special". The waitress described it but did not mention the price. Turns out the lunch "special" was more expensive than any other steak on the menu. Not impressed. $100 for two 7oz steaks. A side of broccoli and a side of asparagus. One cranberry juice.

had received good comments from some friends. restaurant is in a great spot, and the decor is appealing. the noise level was WAAAAAAAY too loud. it was adjusted lower when we asked the waitress to check on it. but it was still a bit too loud. found the food only adequate. and the seasoning was lacking on the steak dish. dessert was excellent!! all in all, i'd say i was disappointed in saltlik.

My husband and I were celebrating our 36 th wedding anniversary and chose this restaurant for our dinner. I had the meatballs and pasta which was not too bad , although there wasn't any kind of bread served with it . My husband ordered the steak , he requested it to be medium, when he began to eat his meal, he discovered his steak was raw inside. The waitress offered him a free dessert , but at that point we were pretty grossed out. The dining experience was just terrible for us and we will not be going back any time soon.

Big issue was the service. No less than 6 servers came to ask what drinks we wanted and then the main course came before the appetizers. Food was good though

Unfortunately, poor service impacted my colleagues impression of Saltlik....hopefully this is a blip and not a trend...

Really didn't enjoy the decor. It took forever to get someone to take our order, then it took a long time to get our drinks and then we waited again for someone to take our food order. Not sure why these resturants keep hiring inexperienced staff. I understand they look great because they are mostly 18 or 20, however I don't care to be serviced by immature youth. Same goes for Earls and the lot. Food was great, so I can't really complain.

The service was really good but the food was underwhelming. The place advertises itself as a steak house but the steaks were poorly spiced, way too salty and very poorly presented. A basic grey slab of meat on a plate with a baked potatoe that lacked character and favour. The appetizer duo dips were also salt flavoured They do have very generouus servings of wine and a good wine list We just expected good steak in Alberta which we did not get

Terrible experience. 5 of us went to lunch, only 2 people in the party had their meal delivered as expected. 3 out of the 5 had to send their meals back, and then 2 more had to send their meal back a second time. The 2 people that had their meal served correctly commented on the poor quality of the food. My guests or myself will not be returning to this restaurant again.
