Worked with Solar Optimum for installing solar panels, and then also ended up working with them for roof repairs before the main solar project. Overall the communication and experience on the solar side was great. I'm not giving full five stars because there were a couple issues during the roofing work (some additional gutter work that wasn't initially communicated and some mess from the demo), but they made an effort to fix the issue, give us a discount, and make sure we were happy with the end result. I had a great experience working with Solar Optimum, especially Mason Brown, Energy Consultant. Mason was incredibly responsive and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything moved forward smoothly. We ran into a couple of snags with permitting, and weather delays also pushed parts of the project back, but Mason handled it all exceptionally well. Ultimately, we had white glove service with Solar Optimum. Shout out to Joe in sales who helped us make the decision between the three bids we gathered. He's a great front man for the organization. Initially, we had a bit of a glitch with their paperwork & their system and moving through it. We solicited the assistance of Gerson Rodriquez, Administration Manager, in the corporate office and within a matter of minutes he addressed every issue we were having. Great experience overall installing panels and a Powerwall 3. Really appreciate Davey Wongs constant updates and really making the experience feel in control. I really didn't have to constantly worry and when I did have a question Davey usually responded or put me in contact within hours. So far the system is working as promised and couldn't be happier!

I went with Solar Optimum mainly because of reputation. I also wanted to go with a company that wasn't going to disappear in the next few years. There were cheaper quotes for the system I wanted, but they didn't quite meet the aforementioned requirements (one, although competent, was way too new to feel comfortable with). Another competitor, probably the biggest one in Southern California, came out for a presentation, but their package was strictly a lease and didn't make much sense at all for me. After my review posted on Dec 4, 2025; Charles Buckley of Solar Optimum called me several times. As of now, after struggling and daily efforts from me, the solar panel system is installed, with vague instructions to turn it on. They say the customer should turn on the system and also should monitor. I had to find out from others the complete turn on procedure and to install Tesla APP on my phone to monitor. I wanted to take a moment to give a huge thank you to Landon and his amazing team (Herbert and Orbel). Even though I had submitted an SDGE interconnection application two years ago, they worked with me as if I was apart of the team. I'm giving this project 5 star review because I think it is the best company to go with for quality and a competitive cost. If you go with this company, 100% ask for Mason to be your sales rep. Avoid Eddie at all costs as he won't respond to you after you sign your agreement...Because of this, Management actually switched my contact person to Mason, and I am forever grateful for that. I recently had my system installed. Communication was great from the start with the team. I'm very happy with my installation. Excited to be generating solar power. The manager Shane was super helpful and communicative, making sure all my questions were answered. Pricing was competitive. I would definitely recommend them!
