Had the worst experience with Stratus Neuro today. Although the tech was kind and trying her best, she was not trained on the equipment she came with and what was supposed to be a 20 minute test plus set up took 3.5 hours from start to finish. It didn’t leave me feeling confident the test was even completed correctly. I’ve never had an EEG that didn’t involve deep breathing or use of strobes so not really sure what this test will accurately tell. I am currently undergoing a 48 hr EEG. My technician, Sean, was unprofessional, answering texts on his personal phone while I underwent my routine to setup the device. Further, I received a call from the company after his departure stating that he wasn't truthful with the procedure that would follow regarding my testing. So, if I had listened to Sean, I'd have been waiting for a technician to come to my home to check my equipment, when that wasn't so. I don’t usually write reviews but I wish I could have had a better experience. I had a scheduled 3 day EEG on March 27th. The first tech was extremely obnoxious and made a joke about my memory loss. Throughout those two days I got nothing but texts/phone calls from the monitoring department telling me the wires weren’t working. They sent him back to fix them, and I was informed I got a “bad batch of wires”. I was told to contact Alliance for an EEG by my Neurologist, Dr. Morgan, after a car accident. For all other procedures I had related to my accident, I was told my cost of the procedure, if there was an associated cost. I was told nothing. After the procedure, my insurance company was billed $32,520 from Alliance and $8,985 from Dr. Morgan. My insurance company paid almost $3,000 instead, but I also received an invoice for $2,656.50. I’ve been trying to contact you for 3 days about an abusive employee who sent death threats to people and you have not responded whatsoever.
Might be the worst company on Earth. I needed a 72 hour EEG, which Alliance assured me they would contact my insurance company prior to scheduling. They scheduled and did the test then smacked me with a bill for $3,700. I called my insurance company and found out not only did they not take my insurance, but they never called to be billed “in-network” which is protocol since the procedure was medically necessary.
