Symphony is an excellent vet facility. The exam tables are scales and the techs and vets are all friendly and knowledgeable. We had 3 cats and a rabbit so we were there a lot. They were great with my asthmatic kitty. Prices are NYC high, but at least you get excellent service for those prices. I recommend this vet...especially ore Animal General.
I took my dog here when my regular vet was closed and we couldn't wait the few days for the office to re-open. The office is new, clean, and they were right on time with my appointment. The vet was friendly and competent with my dog. I was extremely appreciative of them fitting him in even though he wasn't their patient and it was totally last minute. And then it came time to check out and I looked at my bill. Over $200 for approximately a 5-minute exam, a fecal test, and some meds (which were only $7). They charge $85... read more
I've been taking my "special needs" pup to Symphony Vet since I moved here two years ago. I've had other vets in other places, although not New York, and I've got to say the care and service at Symphony is way beyond what I and my dog have received anywhere else. Front desk staff is friendly and efficient. Vets are amazing--they do appear to genuinely know and care about my own particular dog. The tech staff is wonderful, too. Despite having to have her blood drawn there every 3 months or so, my little dog has no compunction... read more
Our cat was recently sick and since were are new the RSD area, we didnt know where to go. Luckily our neighbor recommended SVC and we were able to bring out cat in the next morning for diagnosis and care. The doctor who assisted us, Dr. Bruck, provided a thorough and understandable explanation of the issue, treatment and charges for us. We felt very confident that this practice would provide the best care for our little cat at the time, and they did. He is back home almost fully recovered and we have Symphony to thank for... read more
I've been going to this place for about a decade with my cats. They have never been cheap but have gotten pricier and pricier with time. But they do provide a lot of services. The head vet/owner Campbell is fairly knowledgeable and they are responsive in general. Campbell does make mistakes however and is limited but most vets are. They sometimes tack on charges that are not standard and then if you protest they simply give you less service to compensate for not being able to charge as much. Recently, I ordered bloo... read more
New to the area and my dog needed a vet. Yelp led me to Symphony, and they were wonderful. Clearly knowledgable, pleasant, and caring. Best of all, we were able to get in on a Saturday with only a few hours notice. I will continue bringing my dog here.
We recently switched from Animal General to Symphony because they were rude and rushed at AG. This place is the best I've found on the UWS. I've waited for about a year to write this to see if it remained consistant and it does. The place is clean, all the doctors and staff are warm and friendly (and we've visited with most of the doctors). They return your calls the same day. In general just really good service! Expensive; YES. But I keep going because of everything I've listed above. Thanks and keep up the good service!
We've been going to Symphony since our dog was a puppy--seven years! We love the vets and feel in great hands there. Our dog needed minor surgery when he was six months old and Dr. Campbell did an excellent job. She was also very communicative and easy to reach during the whole process. The docs know all their dogs by name (don't know any cat owners who go there so I can't vouch). And the front office staff is efficient and kind. And they will take the extra steps when helping solve problems with online pharma services a... read more
Symphony Vet isn't cheap, but it is absolutely worth the extra expense to know that my pets are in the best possible hands. I went to Animal General for a while, and the vets there were fine, but they were always running late, the desk staff was often rude, the doctors simply ordered treatments/tests without giving much explanation or information. So when a friend recommended Dr. Campbell at Symphony, I decided to give it a try. I have been there a couple of times for both my dog and my cat, and I have been extremely happy. ... read more
