We recently switched from Animal General to Symphony because they were rude and rushed at AG. This place is the best I've found on the UWS. I've waited for about a year to write this to see if it remained consistant and it does. The place is clean, all the doctors and staff are warm and friendly (and we've visited with most of the doctors). They return your calls the same day. In general just really good service! Expensive; YES. But I keep going because of everything I've listed above. Thanks and keep up the good service!
We've been going to Symphony since our dog was a puppy--seven years! We love the vets and feel in great hands there. Our dog needed minor surgery when he was six months old and Dr. Campbell did an excellent job. She was also very communicative and easy to reach during the whole process. The docs know all their dogs by name (don't know any cat owners who go there so I can't vouch). And the front office staff is efficient and kind. And they will take the extra steps when helping solve problems with online pharma services a... read more
Symphony Vet isn't cheap, but it is absolutely worth the extra expense to know that my pets are in the best possible hands. I went to Animal General for a while, and the vets there were fine, but they were always running late, the desk staff was often rude, the doctors simply ordered treatments/tests without giving much explanation or information. So when a friend recommended Dr. Campbell at Symphony, I decided to give it a try. I have been there a couple of times for both my dog and my cat, and I have been extremely happy. ... read more
After going to Symphony Vet for the last 7 years, I would never go anywhere else in NYC for my pet's medical needs. They are hands down, the best and most caring veterinary practice in Manhattan. My husband and I had our cat Betty for 7 and a half years. We adopted her from "A Cause For Paws" and she had been fostered at Symphony Vet, so we felt comfortable taking her back here for her annual checkups. Dr. Campbell as well as all of the other doctors always gave us the best medical care and their undivided attention each... read more
I have gone to Symphony vet for many years. I had the same experience as another reviewer going to another well -thought-of upper west side veterinarian: every time we went there we had a different vet, and we wanted more personalized attention. We switched to Symphony and have had excellent experience. Our dog is 11 years old and has had his share of challenges--a very aggressive cancer and, just now, a torn ligament in his knee, and of course less exciting troubles and regular check-ups. We have always gotten great care a... read more
I've been going to Symphony Vet for just over 4 years and they have been just excellent. I have 6 year old pug who has had his fair share of ailments and physical problems. Every vet I've encountered at Symphony has been totally on the case. Very knowledgeable and straight forward, which is something I appreciate. The staff is friendly and the docs have treated my dog lovingly and with a thoroughness I have yet to encounter anywhere else. The place is clean, bright and very professional. I recommend it highly!
I can't say enough good things about this place - Dr. Campbell and the entire staff at Symphony are great. I have a pug and two cats. The folks at Symphony have been a godsend. They literally saved my dog's life. We woke up one Monday morning to discover that our dog's gums had been bleeding all night and he was covered in bruises. It turned out he had been infected with a tick born disease which compromised his blood's ability to clot. It was touch and go for a while, but, Dr. C was great throughout. She answered all... read more
You won't find a better vet for bunnies in the NYC area (including the doctor in Dobbs Ferry, forgot his name). I had a chronically ill bunny for several years, and during that time we went to many vets, including those that have a reputation for seeing exotics, and this was the only one that actually seemed passionate and knowledgeable about the intricacies of bunny health. I would never dream of taking a rabbit anywhere else. The doctors that see rabbits are wonderful. But if you have a cat or dog, there's really nothi... read more
My kitties have seen many of the vets at Symphony. Particularly my 15 year old Siamese Alex who - as he's gotten older - has developed increasingly more serious health problems. We came to Symphony Vet for a second opinion on the recommendation of a friend. That's how Alex and I met Dr. Jenkins. We really liked her and trusted her judgment - so much so that we switched from another vet and became a regular client. Not long after becoming a patient Alex began to lose weight because of bad teeth. Professional instinct told Dr... read more
