Symphony Vet is what all vetinary practices should be. The place is immaculate, the staff is exceptionally nice, and the doctors take the time to work through all the alternatives for treating the animal. Right now my cat is ill with thyroid problems and irritable bowel problems. The vets are doing everything they can to get it under control. My partner and I are thrilled with their practice.
I have been taking my cat, Emjay, to Symphony Vet for over 10 years. He is now 15 years old. They are absolutely wonderful!!! Emjay sees Dr. Campbell and she is gentle, caring, compassionate, and VERY knowledgable. She has always returned my phone calls AND emails. I work 6 days a week so it is fabulous that they are open on Sundays too. I have friends that see Dr. Martin and they have only fabulous things to say about her too. I highly recommend Symphony Vet!!!
I just moved here from CA, and my dog Chet has suffered from a skin condition for 3 years. We've visited several other vets over the years, and Symphony diagnosed the condition right away! No expensive specialists, just good doctors. And the staff are tremendous, too. I chose Symphony when I moved to UWS because their the vet recommended most in Riverside Park by the other dog owners, and now I know why. Highly recommended. Jack M. and Chet
I haved been going to Symphony vet for 8 years I have never met a set of more compasionate and knowledgeable Doctors and staff. My 3 year old cat had a rare disease and they were always there for him and me I would never board my pets when I was out of town, but I felt comfortable leaving him in their care. I live on Long Island and bring all of my pets here. It's a schlep, but I wouldn't bring them anywhere else. I highly recomend them
Our dog has been going here for about 2 years, and loves it. She gets really excited whenever we visit. All of our dog friends go here. The doctors are all very nice and knowledgeable, and were really accommodating with a walk-in emergency visit recently. They know their stuff, they have a good bedside manner, and, best of all, they're open on Saturday and Sunday. The one disappointing thing is that I don't always get our "primary" vet for appointments, even when we ask for her. But I like everyone we've seen so far... ... read more
We just had our first visit with our two kittens there yesterday. If they took humans, I would go there. Scheduling is very easy and they have many options for whatever your work schedule. The receptionists were very friendly, and I was able to speak with a Dr. before the first visit just to clarify a few things- I called and they said she would call me back, and (unusual in this day and age) she called me back promptly! Dr. M did a very thorough exam on our miserable kittens (rescue's with lots wrong with them...) and w... read more
I have been blindly loyal to this vet for x years. Each year it has gotten progressively worse. Very impersonal and cold. My last visit (yesterday) was terrible. Condescending, unsympathetic vet who did not bother to look at my pet's record from LAST YEAR. Did NOT examine her. Just wanted to get my pup back to the "lab" for her vaccines and basic bloodwork without informing me that that was where she was going to do the "exam." Like, huh? Very poor pet-owner/vet communication. People at the desk are flippant and quick to as... read more

This veterinary clinic has honestly really disappointed me lately. My cat was prescribed special food as she literally scratches her skin off due to allergies to regular food. In order to keep her on this diet that already costs me close to $100 a month they need to "view" her to renew it. I have called and explained I can't just bring her in for a quick look over as she is a rescue cat that has a traumatic past and will throw up and hide for days after leaving her home. I requested if we could please zoom if it's just a "vi... read more

Dear Stacy, We are sorry to hear about your negative experience with Symphony Veterinary Center. We appreciate your offer to pay for any additional services needed, but unfortunately, this was not a matter of cost. ... read more
CONSUMERS BEWARE !!!! Ask for an itemized bill before handing your card over so you don't pay for unnecessary services as this place is MONEY DRIVEN. I've dealt with places like this before so I came in explaining exactly what service I wanted done and somehow they were still able to charge me for a whole bunch of unwarranted and unnecessary. Also if your dog needs shots or vaccines you can get them done for way cheaper then this place let me tell you I feel like I got scammed here. Not only that when I finally called a 3rd... read more
