Love the nostalgic setting from the era of the 1920's! Highly recommended for an adults night out but leave the kids at home. Not a place they will care for and no menu for them either.
We came for the history & left feeling that this was a moment that we want to repeat. A creative creative menu that is reflective of MN sourcing; service staff who are proud of their reopening & willing to fully answer questions about how they recreated the ambiance to be authentic while inviting; a St. Paul moment that others should choose to have:
Dinner with a friend. Beautiful decor. Great service - although it was busy we did not feel rushed.
I came here with a friend because of it's vibe and my love of the era. We had a fantastic meal. We never had the feeling that we were being rushed and at the same time we weren't left there waiting. We will definitely be back
The drinks were delicious and unique, but the food (steak filet and chicken) were a little too salty. The food was good enough though I'd go back for another birthday dinner. The ambiance is spectacular!
Food was phenomenal and service was great. I had the appetizer special seared tuna Asian twist with pickled carrots and onions - can't go wrong with seared tuna, braised beef was tasty. I really enjoyed the sidecar cocktail. I came here mainly because I was told it was very artsy deco type restaurant. Overall it was great.
A St. Paul institution-- this restaurant offers a great insight to the city's decadent history in the 1920s and 1930s. The restaurant's decor, reminiscent of the time periods mentioned above, has been artfully restored and offers the restaurant goer with a truly unique dining experience. The food was excellent, served quickly, and the restaurants a nice wine list-- from novice to enthusiast. The entrees were priced fairly and were good sized. I would definitely look to bring friends here-- especially ones from out of down.
We had a great evening - service was great and the food and beverages were delicious. We will definitely come back!
Fabulous place with unique and creative dishes. I will be back!
