Please read all the reviews!!!! Like many of the past reviewers It is almost impossible to cancel your membership. They are very helpful when they are talking you into and membership. But just try to cancel then no one will help at the gym. I injured my shoulder and was not able to use the gym for over a year I decided to cancel because of this reason. Sauna not working again. Should put a 30 minute timer on outside so that it does not run 24hours when no one is using it like at 2am? When sauna is working it is like 90 degrees inside it. That is why people might try to override the system. This has been a problem since day one!!!!
They have a large facility with knowledgeable trainers. It's also quite convenient considering the 24 hour opening times during the weekdays. The gym gets extremely busy from the mid afternoon until the late evening. It has an area for functional training, which is nice. The personal training staff is knowledgeable and really professional. I enjoyed working out here for a while but one of the staff members was extremely nasty and rude to me, which ruined my experience going forward. I'd recommend someone interested in join... read more
I switched jobs and am only able to use The Edge after work (5 PM to 8 PM), I thought it was going to be busy but it's near impossible to use any equipment at all. I have been to about 10 gyms in my life and this one takes the cake on not being able to find a piece of equipment to use. On top of that, I have never seen such horrible dishonesty in a company. I signed up for personal training on September 7th. There was a charge to my credit card on Sept 7th, which was for the month of September. At that time I indicated I did not want any training beyond what the requirement was, which is 2 months. You must actually submit a formal cancellation, 30 days PRIOR to the next billing date, so you do not get charged again for another month of training. Let me start by saying that i was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and had to undergo chemo treatments and because we all know that gyms are an infestation of germs... i tried to cancel my membership by doctor's orders and edge fitness made it impossible to do by saying that i was simply not permanently disabled... Are you kidding me? Thank god for my lawyer that was able to handle this... The tanning booths are disgusting... so dirty... Zero stars for this place. Do not trust the staff. No matter what they say you will be paying ridiculous amounts of money to cancel your membership no matter the reason. So sad that a company doesn't have their members best interest in mind. This place has left a bitter taste in my mouth and I am utterly disappointed. Avoid this place at all costs.
Bottom line: Great Equipment, membership is a TRAP. Really scummy contract, will try and make you pay for months of service, even if you want out. Iron Gym Factory in Brookfield is a much better option. Owner is an honorable man, unlike the membership DEPT at the Edge. I joined for a short stint a while ago when I was in college. Good gym lots of equipment clean good classes but thats about it. Staffs unfriendly some of them seem like they hate it there. Worst part is though the membership policy, they say you can sign up with the $ 20 membership policy with access to other edge gym and free use of tanning and hydro massages and if you want to you can change your membership to $9.99 whenever you want. Then all of sudden they dont offer that anymore. Oh and had to wait over an hour to sign up for membership even after making an appointment. Shame its ... read more
