I picked this place due to quick availability.Pros:Very friendly, fast and easy sign up/ availability, has events, residents are like friends and has a sense of community, has meal services, has transportation. Cons: Rooms are very small and it's an issue for people in wheel chairs. Not enough room for a twin bed AND recliner chair. Have to choose. Meal options are not diabetic friendly. transportation does function as advertised. They go to certain places on certain days and if you don't sign up the slots get full easily. Y... read more

The move in process was very smooth and welcoming. There is good communication between family and staff. The meals are good. I would recommend The Landing at Carmichael to others. I do have one suggestion. Have rides available, other than once a week, to the local doctors. It is my understanding that the bus is available only one day a week.

The staff are great - really there for you and caring. The food is quite good, and dining is like a real restaurant. Other residents are friendly and it feels like a community. I wish they had more fitness activities, but there are a lot of activities that are fun and involve ice cream, everyone loves loves ice cream. Overall I really like living here, and it has greatly improved my quality of life.

I would say it's a very good value, and the staff is exceptional. I do have an issue with the breakfast though, because those have changed and it seems like there's not really a breakfast being served.

For what we are receiving they are a little overpriced. Staff are friendly pay attention to your billing. Make sure number one it's your invoice and that you are being charged accordingly.

Overall, this community is very good. The residents are very friendly. My sister has made a lot of friends here. The staff is ok, not overly helpful. They do housekeeping once a week and do a good job. The food is excellent, good quality and variety. My sister actually loves it! One issue we've had is timely repairs. Her microwave has been broken for a month and we're still waiting for them to fix or replace it. Also, their transportation van does not have a wheelchair lift, so we have to use outside options for her transpor... read more

The Landing at Carmichael gave a very nice tour. The facility itself is older and it was smaller with less residents which meant less people to interact and socialize with. I was looking for a bigger place that would have more going on, but it all depends on what you like and want. They said they had gourmet food but I was not able to try a meal. It is right next to Carmichael Park and in a busy area next to a lot of shopping, so the location is ideal if you like to do that.

The Landing has great food. It's very well cooked and that makes a difference if it is cooked properly. I really like the salads and the homemade soups. The vegetables are very well cooked and flavorful. There is a very good balance in the food served. I was underweight when I got here one month ago. I weighed 150 lbs and now I am at 162 lbs. We were able to have an in person tour and our experience was very good with The Landing at Carmichael.
