Overall, this community is very good. The residents are very friendly. My sister has made a lot of friends here. The staff is ok, not overly helpful. They do housekeeping once a week and do a good job. The food is excellent, good quality and variety. My sister actually loves it! One issue we've had is timely repairs. Her microwave has been broken for a month and we're still waiting for them to fix or replace it. Also, their transportation van does not have a wheelchair lift, so we have to use outside options for her transpor... read more

The Landing at Carmichael gave a very nice tour. The facility itself is older and it was smaller with less residents which meant less people to interact and socialize with. I was looking for a bigger place that would have more going on, but it all depends on what you like and want. They said they had gourmet food but I was not able to try a meal. It is right next to Carmichael Park and in a busy area next to a lot of shopping, so the location is ideal if you like to do that.

The Landing has great food. It's very well cooked and that makes a difference if it is cooked properly. I really like the salads and the homemade soups. The vegetables are very well cooked and flavorful. There is a very good balance in the food served. I was underweight when I got here one month ago. I weighed 150 lbs and now I am at 162 lbs. If your loved one is independent this could be a good place for you. Communication between the staff and our family is good and they return calls in a timely mannor. I would recommend this community to others.

I would recommend the community for your loved ones. My loved ones feel comfortable there. The staff take great care of my loved ones. It worked out great for us.

The food has improved a lot since the new chef has come on board. I especially liked the shrimp salad and almond cake that I had last Tuesday.. It was all very tasty. There are lots of new dishes that I enjoy and they are very tasty. I have lived here for a year and two months. The staff is all very nice.

I moved in to The Landing at Carmichael during the Paradise Fires back in November of 2018. I didn't have much with me when I got here but the staff provided me with a full studio of furniture, clothing and gift cards from people in the community and in the senior living industry. They have all been so helpful since I have been here. I am moving back to Paradise on the same property where my house burned down. I am sad to go but so happy to be going back home. I am a resident of The Landing at Carmichael. I had the tiramisu yesterday and it was very delicious and different. Recently the dishes have been very delicious. The spaghetti and clams had real clams. The meals are new and fresh since we have our new Chef [name removed]! He's great !
