Definatly a great experience. Matheo was an incredible waiter we ask for him every time we go. The Happy Hour makes it fun. My wife loves the curry dish and it's always on point. I have been trying something new every visit and have been continuously impressed. Great place to visit.
First time may have been a fluke, so we opted to try this place again. I ordered the chicken and vegetable curry. I'm an absolute wimp when it comes to any spicy heat in my food so the kitchen was nice enough to put the sauce on the side. Curry was good, but was too hot for this palate. The huge serving of rice, veg, and chicken was really good on its own, though. We ordered the sticky toffee pudding and my son inhaled it before I could be really tacky and take a picture of it. We love Wednesdays at Lion and the rose!! Trivia is amazing and so is the food! Get the fish and chips!! You won't regret it!! I can't say enough great things about the staff too!
First time there and we plan on returning. Service was great from the get-go. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself was dark with the kitschy this-looks-like-it-belongs-in-a-pub decor. Not a deal breaker. Service is exceptionally great! The drinks are also extremely tasty and good . nice atmosphere and staff.
i love coming here on Wednesday night for Trivia. This is the best happy hour in town. British food at it's best
Wednesday is the best day to come to the lion and the rose!! Not only is it trivia night BUT the food is amazing and the staff is the best. Order the fish and chips - you won't regret it!
