The food was excellent, and the service was excellent as well. The general manager spoke to me several times and made sure that everything was OK. I told him about my previous history with the original lion and rose in Alamo Heights and he gave me some more interesting details about the history of the restaurant and held. The owner. Chose the location that it is in now.
We come often on Sundays at 11AM. The Staff & the fantastic Decor is wonderful. The only complaint would be that the Country Western music doesn't fit with the Decor and overall experience. Probably would be fine later in the evening, but we thought it took away from the overall experience. A+++ on Service and Ambiance
This is as good as an English style pub that you can get in SA. We stop in and get drinks and food every time we make a trip down. Service is always good. Highly recommend.
Another great trip to The Lion & Rose. They have Electric Jelleyfish on draft which is our favorite IPA. We tried the pork belly and it was the best we have ever had. It was meaty and not fatty and was perfectly cooked and tender. Chef Diaz is talented and makes a variety of cuisines. We will be back soon and often.
The food was pretty good, a little pricey but to be honest our service so top notch, I think her name was Hannah, she was so great!! These days it seems service is seriously lacking most places, but not with her. We will def return
Are you looking for a nice sports bar to watch the next game? I recommend the Lion and Rose Pub. Decorated in an upscale British Pub style with larger screen TV's streaming lots of different games in multiple rooms each with a slightly different look, this is a great place to hangout. Attractive staff will give you fast professional service. But what about the food you ask? We enjoyed our meal very much. The Lion and Rose Pub had good food, great service, and we will definitely return. I recommend trying the cottage pie.
We come here for trivia every Wednesday. We love it here. Always come before to get happy hour drinks and fries.
This place was awesome. The staff pitched in to wait on 15 of us. Food and drinks arrived in a timely manner. Food was excellent drinks very good. We all had a good time because staff allowed us to socialize while they kept us hydrated and feed. We all had a great time. Thank you staff at The Lion & Rose.
