I love the staff here. They are always so great when treating my little Rasta Bear. All of their treatments are affordable and they ASK YOU ahead of time if you'd like anything the vet recommends. Sometimes there has been a bit of a wait when I've brought Rasta in; that is because sometimes other patients have more severe problems and the vet needs to spend longer with those animals. I will absolutely be back for Rasta's needs.
What a great option for affordable vet care! Every doctor I've seen has been very attentive and the staff is all very friendly! They have also been very accommodating many times amongst a seemingly busy schedule. Will be back time and time again!
Some of these reviews are just completely emotional driven and illogically. Don't get me wrong, I love my dog as my son and I would do anything for him. I have brought not only him, but my previous pet (who for the sake of this review moved in with my mother in another state as a guard dog) and BOTH pets have been seen with care, kind, knowledgable veterinarians and nothing but RESPECT. My beloved dog and I are having the BEST vet experience we've ever had, and shes 15 years old! Dr. Hayes and Carmen the vet tech, are so kind and calming. My dog gets really stressed at the vet and the Dr. actually got her to calm all the way down, so much she wagged! Carmen offered to do the heartworm blood draw in the exam room so I could help calm her. Prices are incredibly reasonable and they explain everything. No hidden agenda. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.
The outside/general area around the Oltorf location looks pretty sketchy. It's attached to a diner and a gas station. The parking is awful and there are homeless people hanging around who are in various states of intoxication. DONT LET THIS SCARE YOU AWAY!! The vet and the techs are absolutely amazing. The clinic is clean and they called right away to let me know my 15 year old pet was safe and in recovery after a surgery/tooth extraction. I'm happy with the vet care, but each visit I've had to wait at least 30 mins past my appt time to see the vet. A friend who uses this place agreed with me on this. She said it was the slowest vet clinic ever. Seems like this could be improved...

I took my dogs Molly and Betty here for the first time for a check up and vaccines. All staff was so courteous and took the time to listen to my concerns. Dr. Hayes gave me a complete run down of my fur babies health and answered all my questions. I did have to wait a little longer than usually because they were short staffed but I didn't mind waiting considering the level of care they provide. I'm so glad my doggies found their Vet!
**Based on a dental cleaning (and consult) only. I found myself at Thrive after PAZ quoted $1000+ for a standard dental cleaning - before extractions. The second best reviews came from Thrive and specifically called out their dental pricing. I went in to the consult with bloodwork in hand so there wasn't much to do or discuss but they were great with my pup and treated him appropriately given that he has no eyes!
