I just spoke with Amber regarding my BF's current lack of appetite, as well as other stomach issues, and she was simply fantastic. Patient, kind and knowledgeable, she took the time to get the information from me, an admittedly distraught dog owner, and provide real world do it yourself steps to see if it was something simple (?) like... Anxiety! We'll see if it works, but if it does, or even if it doesn't, they'll be the first folks I'll turn to for help since moving to South Austin...

Just left Thrive -- and it was quite a nice place. Clean facility, modern. Small parking spaces but that's okay because I have a compact car. The staff was very friendly and considerate. The front desk lady was nice and I appreciated her gentle personality upon arrival. She helped me check in on an iPad which took 20 seconds. Faster than Jimmy John's, people!! The employees are friendly, it's very clean, and not terribly expensive. I wish they were more on time, making an appointment doesn't seem to matter with regards to when they call you back. I arrived early to be courteous, was finally roomed 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, then sat in the room for an additional 15 mins. Also, it would be nice if they kept some slots open for emergency walk-ins!

I love the vets at this place! A great environment for your pets. Unfortunate I feel the front desk staff is lacking/rude. The past 2 times I walked in I felt almost unwelcome by the female receptionist with glasses. As i entered she spoke to others and ignored me for several minutes even though I was there to pick up flea meds I already purchased at a previous date. I have tried a few other vets after coming to thrive and it was a waste of time! No other vet has tried so hard to make my pup calm and not anxious. They have never tried to push extra exams or medicine on me. The staff is always extremely patient and friendly. I've never had to wait for an appointment! I'll be taking little turbo here from now on!

Thank you Austin Vet Care for really caring for my cat, and me as a costumer! The prices were extremely affordable compared to my past vet experiences. The people I talked to there from the front desk, vet techs, and doctor were all polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. They also didn't try to get me to do any unnecessary procedures or products. I am so happy there is a vet out there that really cares and makes it affordable for pet owners of all socioeconomic statuses.

Took both our dogs here before moving to Alaska for health certificates. Discovered that our old lady has a heart murmur and she'd been having some pain in her back. Dr.Smolik was great and prescribed her some heart meds and anti-inflammatory meds. Came back the next day because she was still in pain and he got her some pain meds right away. Our trip to Alaska (by plane) would have been so stressful for her and us had we not had the meds for her. I continue to bring my dog here and Dr. Sosa is THE BEST! I highly recommend him.
