My puppy broke her leg and had a nasty open wound. I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Z who had great knowledge as a veterinarian. He handled my puppy with care and compassion. The facility did charge $75 for bandages! Come on guys the bandage is on Amazon for $20!! Ok I also paid for an X-ray $150 and a veterinarian visit $55 alone with other charges. We've been a client since their location opened on Ella. They have always been professional, but their compassion, kindness and thoughtfulness are what set them apart. When a dog we were fostering had to be put down, they were patient and compassionate as we grieved. They're always consciences of cost and make sure they offer all the options, with an emphasis on affordability. Love it here! Dr Smolik has been our vet for about 5 years and he's wonderful! The whole staff is always friendly and willing to help! Price is affordable and they don't want to just keep on adding costs. They are very considerate in regards to money. Highly recommend!

Our cat got very sick last week, we were able to make a same day appointment at Thrive. The vet had read our notes before we came in and had a plan for us very quickly. They gave us helpful advice for getting our cat to take the pills and to help us collect a urine sample. They followed up the next day with blood test results and two days after that with urine results. Everyone I spoke to was helpful and friendly, and seemed to genuinely care about our cat. Teddy and Mocha had early am appts for bordetella shots today. Place is clean and by Ella and 34th, past the donuts. Easy parking. Staff were able to find our previous records - which got deleted or hidden - when I booked their appointments perhaps at a different location. The dogs were happy because no other pets there. Dogs quickly got their shots and some rubs. They emailed me the receipts and shot records. $100 for both dogs. Areas to improve: easier to navigate app and a price list would also be helpful. Dr. Smolik is awesome! He is never in a rush, extremely helpful, and it's obvious he really cares. All of the staff I have encountered have been very friendly and super kind to my pup. I have been coming here for a few years for routine vaccinations / checkups - but recently needed assistance with an injury that will require surgery. I highly recommend him and his team for routine care as well as any guidance / treatment for more complex concerns.

My husband and I have 5 dogs (including 3 seniors) that we consider our children. We have enjoyed having Dr. Smolik care for them. He is knowledgeable, communicates very well, has a calm demeanor and goes above and beyond for our pups. We also appreciate that he takes the time to help us weigh the costs and benefits when recommending tests and treatments. One of our seniors, Scooter, has severe heart disease.
