Dr. Smolik is really great! He is approachable and knowledgeable. I went to a few other "fancier" clinics in the Houston area but haven't found a doctor I really liked for my basset hound until I met Dr. Smolik. He doesn't try to sell you random things or make you get unnecessary items for your pet. He even tries to give you options depending on your price point (for example on medicine or food). I'm very pleased with the care my pets have received. Everyone at the Clear Lake location seems to genuinely care about what they do. Jason, at the front desk, is wonderful.

Dr Smolik gets five stars in my opinion. I am not pleased however with the poor availability of the cat food that they have recommended for my cat. When you recommend something to a patient and then go to pick up the prescription food that they recommend, it should be available! Not only that it's not even available in three of the other locations that are within 10 miles from here! They are just now telling me that I can order it online! I should have been told this after purchasing the first bag from them.

I hate Yelp but love Thrive! So leaving a review for Thrive. I've been to the Ella locations 3 times - great experience each time. Very clean, very prompt, super nice staff, great value. Some vets in the Heights are waaaaay overpriced. No wait, took my appointment at the scheduled time. Explained everything I needed to know. Not pushy about stuff I didn't need.

I switched over to Thrive sometime in the last year or so and don't regret it! Each time I've gone in there, the staff has been friendly and helpful and are wonderful with my dog. Definitely make an appointment ahead of time as they are generally pretty busy, but I can't recall a bad experience so far.

Was looking for the best vet place and I'm so glad me and my sister found it, not only are the vets very nice but they are also engaging and it provides for such a great atmosphere. Oh also , it's super affordable;) , I recommend this place to everybody whether it be a pup , kitten or an old dog / cat you're thinking about bringing in

We had a great experience here! Made an appointment and was seen on time. Doctors and support staff were very friendly and patient with my pup. And everything was very affordable. Definitely recommend

The technicians are very knowledgeable and friendly and were able to make friends with my normally very shy dog. The vet, Dr. Smolik, was able to give a diagnosis and prescribe medications that are sure to help my baby girl. I'll definitely bring her back again, although hopefully just for vaccines next time!

I had the most wonderful experience here, we intended to foster a stray, but wound up as "failed fosters," we decided to adopt Amber. My sweet friend who rescued her from under a trailer had brought her to Thrive for a check-up and rabies shot. I decided that if my friend trusted these vets, that I would take Amber back for the remainder of her shots and blood work for her spay, heart worm preventative, flea meds, and finally her spay.
