Drum error every time I try to print I have been buying these toner cartridges for years from Amazon. I opened the box to this two weeks ago and put it in my printer. Now every time we try to print, we get a "drum error" message. The printer was working fine with the old cartridge and now I have to open it and pull the cartridge out every time we try to print. DON’T PURCHASE!! This was not a new unused cartridge as advertised. No original Brother box, the interior packaging (normally sealed) had been opened previously, and the factory seal on the cartridge itself indicating new and unused was missing. Unacceptable!! Returned and don’t recommend purchasing.

Trash UR Brother buy an Epson! Buy an Epson printer! Brothers are garbage! I bought at least one of these a month for a long time- what a waste of money! Now, instead of $100 a month, I spend $30 a year on ink! Look into it Epsons are great. Brother is garbage! I do not work for them. I have just spent alot of $ on ink

bad print quality after just a month of use same as the other reviews... bad print quality after just a month of use. not that many pages printed. unfortunately did not read the other reviews first. buy from trusted Brother distributor. something off with these things. look elsewhere.
I purchased a second toner to have on hand. ... I purchased a second toner to have on hand. It sat unopened for a year. Now that I've used it for 2 months. I find it is defective. I have contacted Brother who only has a 90 day warranty on the product. I guess one should not keep a spare cartridge on hand unless they are replacing them every 2 months.
Internal page counter forces replacement after 6400 prints (versus 8000 advertised) It's pricey but it lasted longer than some non-Brother cartridges I tried and no issues with streaks/etc. However, the internal "page counter" kicked in after 6400 prints and forced me to replace it when it wasn't empty. Since it's falsely advertised as "up to 8000" prints, the cartridge shouldn't be configured to force us all to replace it after 6400 when it's absolutely not empty! We're being shorted 1600 prints!
