0 star is what I give this company.Warranty company had them out to fix my ac.Diagnosed bad compressor.Replaced compressor and charged me $602 freon.Ac never worked so called them back.Tech stated the compressor was wired wrong causing the compressor to be grounded and melted wires.I will be filing BBB complaint on this company. COMSUMER BEWARE..The only reason I give them a 1 Star is because it would not like me give a 0

Total Air Care came to my house through American Home Shield. Total Air Care came completely unprepared to do the work. They claimed I would have to pay them an additional $350 out of my own pocket for them to place a couple of 2x6 boards before they could go inside my attic to repair my ductwork. When I refused they left and sent a report to AHS saying they could not access the attic to do repairs , which was a lie. I originally gave a good report in hopes the Technicians threat wouldn't be carried out. It has been 48 days since the first attempt to repair our Central Heat. Heater was working fine when we asked somebody to check on a noise it was making. A part was replaced and it never worked right again. A month later and four more visits and two more parts the technician reported he could cost us a lot of money if he wanted. Hands down, the worst repair experience I've ever had with a repair company. The service tech was supposed to be here between 8 and 12....they finally appeared around 4:45. Not one single call from the company with an ETA - though I initiated 4 calls and was told each time they'd call me back "within 15 minutes" to give me an ETA. They NEVER call back. One star is far too much for Total Air Care! This company is complete and utter TRASH! There are numerous complaints across social media sites & the Better Business Bureau. I had to use this awful company because of my home warranty, American Home Shield. The technicians are unprofessional and they are NOT knowledgeable. They have NO IDEA what they are doing! Jacksonville, FL area - This is the 3rd time the compressor has broken this year on a 7 year old AC (they always tell me the unit is old and I need a new one, but I've lived in placed with 20 year old units). I have a home warranty company and they will only go thru Total Air Care. First time it went out in March, they charged $650 for Freon and it worked for 4 months. Incompetence! Clear notes were never given which led to 40 days and counting of no air in July and August in SC. Two and a half hour hold time with no answer. Several other hold times over an hour. Emails never replied to. Five service calls with no progress. The first tech came out saying the control board was broken and needed part. I called inquiring about part and was told they were looking for it. I call again to be told a parts manager had not been assigned after three business days. If I could give minus 50 stars I would! This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. The technicians don't have the training to even be in the field! They had 6 technicians out here in 7 weeks because a technician wired a defrost board wrong & burned out the coil & valve! Then the technician that installed another board wired that board wrong too! My experience has been less than satisfactory. Technician appt 7/29; warranty company didn't receive diagnosis report until 8/6. Still without air since 7/22. Horrible telephone hold times!
