I was very sad to see the RedEye Grill close. It was our favorite place in NYC, so we went here instead. I have been to this restaurant three times, and this is the only time I was disappointed. An appetizer arrived cold, salmon had to be returned because it was undercooked. Twice a server tried to give us someone else’s meals. (?) Unfortunately, don’t think we’ll be back soon.
First and foremost, the service by our waiter Jason and the rest of the staff was top notch! There’s not a single aspect of the meal I didn’t enjoy. We ordered prosciutto & burrata & a loaf of bread with garlic spread as appetizers. Common items, but very well done. Jason offered their Old Fashioned as a cocktail - “the best in town,” he said. Was surprised that we were placed in a very tight corner table when the rest of the restaurant was empty. I refused the first few tables that were offered on the bar area which wasn’t air conditioned since open to the patio. I used to be a regular at this restaurant and hosted private room events there. The restaurant isn’t the same.
