Trattoria dell Arte is a favorite spot to come to before concerts at Carnegie Hall. It is very busy at such times and since it is also quite large, it gets quite noisy, but the staff does a wonderful job of serving quickly and with good humor. The food is not sophisticated but it is delicious. In addition to my usual appetizer selection - all vegetarian - I had the amazing fried artichokes alla giudia, two huge artichoke bottoms, crisp and delicate. For dessert we shared a version of cannoli with a blueberry sauce that I kee... read more

This is my traditional preconcert restaurant. Always good and service is always very efficient. This time they put me in the back which was very noisy but when i complained they moved me to the front which was fine. I recommend a table in the bar area if you want to be able to hear your companion. They also have an excellent antipasto bar which is always enjoyable. The meal was excellent.

Business response:

We are glad our team quickly resolved the seating issue so you could enjoy your excellent meal and the antipasto bar in comfort. Thank you for the helpful tip about the bar area seating, and we hope to welcome you back before your next concert. Stephanie Holmes Director of Guest Services, The Fireman Hospitality Group

Always the best chicken parm in the City... as they're fond of saying themselves... but, ya know what? It's kinda true! Their thin crust pizza is also always great ... a perfect appetizer as it is so light. Wouldn't call it classic NY pizza at all BUT it's its own thing and terrific. On top of everything, the staff is always great. Add being right across the street from Carnegie Hall... what's not to love?!

Business response:

It is hard to beat the combination of our legendary chicken parm, uniquely light thin-crust pizza, and great service right across from Carnegie Hall. We love knowing that these favorites—along with our staff—continue to deliver a terrific experience for you, and we look forward to your next visit.
