Recently my doxie had to have the rest of his teeth removed. He experienced some issues after and had to be seen again for surgery. Although the second appointment was scheduled far out due to availability, the office kept me on a call list and thankfully we were able to be seen sooner. The staff here is incredible especially Gwen. She's a true sweetheart and gem at the office. She really feels for the patient and shows so much concern and love for them. I took my 13 yr old Westie for a senior wellness checkup along with other issues. I was able to get a visit that fits my schedule with no issues making an appointment online. Dr. Lauren Buys was attentive and listened to my dog's issues and my concerns. I showed her different cbd oils and other medicines I give my dog. She gave me her advice but never pressured me to go one way or another. I felt like a patient and not someone who was getting milked for money by having to buy a prescription or do an unnecessary procedure. ... read more

Very helpful and caring for animals! Always willing to offer advice, and they think of their customers as more than just a dollar sign. Highly recommend. I wouldn't take my puppy anywhere else.

Once again, this place has proven to amazing. I got the wonderful annual pleasure of taking both of my dogs in for their shots just on Monday so everyone knows how beautiful of a penny that is... well fast forward to Wednesday I let my dogs out to the backyard, we share fence with our backyard neighbors, and the dogs have never met yet so they always kind of like charge at the fench which lead to the oldest barking at the youngest...welp this time wasn't the same, next thing I know my youngest one has a gash under his lef... read more

I started taking my cats here when I moved to South Austin. The staff is very friendly and have great bedside manner. Unfortunately I had to put down one of my cats after he was diagnosed with inoperable cancer and his quality of life was jeopardized. It's such a hard thing to go through but the staff and the vet were so nice and empathetic during the entire process. I have been choosing TCV for over 13 years...My little guy Oliver is a Morkie and almost 11 years old..He has seen Dr Buys all of his life. He must now take a medicine to help his liver for the remainder of his spoiled days. This morning I needed to order a refill and was totally confused as he takes an 1/8 of a pill that has to cut etc... I'm new to the area and just adopted a dog. After looking around online and reading reviews, I decided to bring her here, to Travis Country Veterinary Hospital. The process of making an appointment online was so easy and it was nice to be able to view open time slots to see what fit into my schedule. The appointment itself was so quick and convenient. I was clearly upset at how things were handled on that day.. however in all fairness my subsequent interactions have been terrific.. the staff was kind and very professional and lets face it they have to take care of the pets with out the owner being in the room.. I stand by my comments but I have noticed a change. Travis Country is still my choice for my little guy..
