Best vet in South Austin. I won't take Fiona anywhere else. Love them. Honest and professional. And that says a lot.
This vet is AMAZING. All of the staff genuinely cares about you and your animal and will do anything to work with you. They treated my dog like she was theirs. My dog swallowed a tennis ball so i was scared to take her into the vet- wasn't sure about the news ($) i would receive to get her back to healthy. The vet cleared her schedule, on a Friday, to get my dog into surgery just minutes after her initial exam. Love the staff at Travis Country Veterinary Hospital! Dr. Lewellen is amazing and so sweet to my furbaby! He takes his time to make sure all my questions are answered and always greets my pup with lots of hugs!
This has to be the best vet clinic I've been to. Let me preface this by saying - I have an 18 year old dog who looks like an Ethiopian in dire need of a sandwich. Her legs don't work right, she moves a lot slower and she sleeps a bit more... but that's what happens when we get older. I've been taking my pets here for years. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Sam Seider. He is so patient and takes time to explain exactly what is going on with your pet. My dog June( 11 year old lab)has several health issues and he has been so compassionate with her. He offered lots of suggestions to try before surgery. He does not try to overcharge you. He did not charge me for an Xray after having a sad result to an ultra sound. He is not to proud to send you to another doctor if he thinks they could help your pet more. I have used this clinic for the last 20 years. I have always received excellent service for my fur babies. This last week my senior lab had to be put to sleep. The compassion and care we received is beyond measure. Dr. Seder, Presley, Julia, and Brittany made this process as gentle as possible for all of us. My husband and I appreciate all of the efforts of everyone at this clinic. Kim H
Gwen who works there is a wonderful person. I have always received good care there and sadly just had my kitty cremated. When we picked her ashes up Gwen was so kind and thoughtful. She shared that she went through a similar experience with her cat. My husband and I were so moved by her words and she comforted us more than she can fathom.
If you are looking for great customer service and sound medicine for your pet, take them here. I have also used them for boarding and have had no issues. I have two dogs. One a senior dog and one young 3 year old. My senior dog has many medical problems and since I have been bringing him to this office, he has become more active and playful. I highly recommend Travis Country Vet Hospital. Upon moving to Austin two years ago, I was lucky to have found this great vet! Every visit with my senior dog was always professional and compassionate. I was always able to get in quickly when needed and I always appreciated the gentle care provided.
