Yesterday they worked my Mother's elderly dog into their schedule. The compassion and treatment we got was by far the best experience I have ever had at a Vet clinic. The entire staff was awesome. My Mother has dementia and this dog is her world. They were very considerate of not only her limited finances, her mental state and understood the attachment to a very ill dog. Thank you for all you did. Toni D.

The first time I brought Romeo in, he needed a tooth extraction (baby tooth). TCV was the ONLY vet in Austin charging a reasonable price. That is what initially brought me in. Throughout the whole process, I felt at ease because they knew what they were doing. I've heard many horror stories of the vet's trying to do unnecessary procedures and tests just to get a buck, not TCV. Most recently, I brought my Yorkie in for a dental cleaning. His teeth were brown/black and yellow and I was worried his teeth would fall out if I did... read more

Dr. Lauren Buys. I can't say enough good things about her. When my little guy, Cowboy, got sick last November we went to Travis Country. Dr Buys saw him and after some tests (which I was asked if I wanted and always kept up to date on the costs), it was determined he had a pancreas issue. We discussed options: have an ultrasound ($$$) to determine if he has cancer? Would I do anything different if he did (he was 13 at the time)? Or manage his symptoms (low blood sugar) with steroids? She gave me options and discussed which ... read more

The staff here is terrific. They are accommodating and understanding. I have had a few emergencies they have helped with so much. I have been to other practices where I felt they added on extra expensive testing for no good reason but at Travis Country they explain everything, offer options, and help you make the best decision for your family. I would recommend them to anyone.

Drs Parson and Buys are expert lady vets. They listen very well as I explain my dog's situation, his changes and my worries. They are each very patient, supportive and encouraging about my pet's prognosis. They ask good questions and listen, really listen, to my answers. Fast in-house lab gives the customer results right away. Great asset to the business. Plus all the tech's are friendly, courteous and polite. Love being able to book appointments on-line at their website. That makes it so easy. Plus the online-pharma... read more

The doctors and vet techs at Travis Country have always gone above and beyond in caring for my animals. When my Ragdoll, Sophia, was diagnosed with diabetes, they spent as much time as I needed to learn how to give her injections and they helped me figure out ways to care for her within my budget. When my orange tabby, Cletus, was diagnosed with chronic renal failure, they supported my decision to keep him happy with long term care. They inject him with subcutaneous fluids three times a week, and they always greet me and Cle... read more

Dr. Lauren Buys, whom I've never met, took the time to call twice over the last two days with advice about a neighbor's dog in my care. The advice was sufficiently detailed that it avoided a trip to the vet. In addition, everyone I spoke with at this practice was both kind and responsive to my concerns. Dr. Buys is not currently my vet, but soon will be.

I have taken my dogs here for a number of years. I can't imagine taking them anywhere else. When my first dog was terminal, Dr. Clinton was gentle in discussing it with me. He left the decision up to me, but I knew I had done the right thing for her. She became extremely ill before her scheduled date. I had to up the appointment by a day. Dr. Clinton wasn't scheduled to work at that time, but he came to the hospital just to take care of my dog in her final moments. The entire staff is caring and concerned and treat pets li... read more

They are the best vet I ever been to. Several of my friends also bring their pets here. One dog needed her teeth cleaned and I was so nervous about putting her to sleep. When I picked her up it was like nothing happened. She was great. Not groggy or anything. The best!
