A great, affordable vet! I was going to another vet for the first year I lived here, but when it came time for my dog to get her teeth cleaned and have one pulled, I started looking around again because mine was so expensive. Travis Country was recommended to me by two of my co-workers, and I'm so happy I went to them. The estimate they gave me was $150 cheaper than my other vet and it actually ended up costing another $100 less when I got the bill! I have been going here for years and I always recommend them. This is not a fancy vet office, which I like because I think it keeps their fees reasonable. They are very knowledgeable and always friendly. My French bulldog had surgery there recently and it went smoothly. Which is not always the case with frenchies. When one of my dogs had congestive heart failure, I went rushing to them but she passed in the car. Someone I still felt there was a chance they could do something. My grandparents and parents always went to this vet, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It's hands-down the best bet I've taken my animals to. You can see the love that they have for each pet that walks through the door. They take great care of me and my babies. I highly recommend Travis Country Vet.

So glad we chose to bring our new dog to Travis Country! We had a wonderful (& free!) first visit on Saturday with Dr. Buys. Today, we came back to address a surgery incision issue and got an appointment within 2 hours of calling, charged only for the antibiotics we were given to treat the problem. Patient, friendly, thorough, knowledgeable, and affordable -- we can't recommend them enough!

I just moved to Austin and took two of my dogs today to get checked out. Although I had to wait a while, it was WELL worth my time. The techs were very friendly, helpful, and gentle with my dogs. They answered my many questions, told me when they didn't know the answer, and gave me quotes without being annoyed. You could tell they loved animals and enjoyed working there. I am so thrilled to have found this vet. Got in to see vet in a timely manner, the employees are kind and patiently answered all of my paranoid-new-parent questions, but best of all THE PRICE! For the new patient check-up, a first round of puppy shots, a tapeworm pill was all only $75! We also received a free first dose (oral pill given once every month) of Triflexis which kills and prevents flea infestation, prevents heart-worms, and treats and controls adult hookworm, roundworm and whipworm infections. This the most amazing staff of caring vets you could find. We've been taking our dogs here for almost 9 years. Lauren is amazing and would recommend her to any family with pets. They are reasonable and never try to sell you on anything. I have an immense amount of trust and respect in their care for the animals they treat.

We and our cats have been treated very well here over the years. The docs are great however, they have other wonderful office staff.When my poor stressed out crying cat came in I set his carrier down and two office cats came out to inspect and comfort him!
