Maintenance always makes things simple and easy you don't even need tk be there for them to fix it. I had a sprinkler go off in my appartment and a professional team was hired to handle my belongings from the water and clean it it was fixed by the time I was home from work I barley knew it happened. The office staff are very friendly and always helpful.
this is my first year living here and i really like it, it's a nice safe environment very close to campus. it is a bit pricey but i cant complain, the staff is friendly and helpful, and it includes lots of amenities. i'd recommend to anyone looking to live off campus
I moved here in Fall 2021 and overall UP has been great! The amenities are a huge plus. The maintenance team is quick to help you with any issues you may have and the office staff is nice. The building is very clean and they make safety a priority. I would definitely recommend living at UP!
This is my first year living at University Plaza and I love it!! I originally chose to live at UP while attending NIU because of how much cheaper it is compared to any dorm, and it's still very close to NIU. Having been here a little over five months, I'm so happy I chose University Plaza. Like living here my own space I can have my friends over anytime. I just wish they will do something about my neighbor that screams into the hallway for no reason. But this place is worth it.

University Plaza is the safest place to live off campus at NIU. The apartments are so nice, the staff is wonderful, and so many great amenities. I have enjoyed my time living here!
If you want a safe and fun community, come in for a tour! You won't regret it! You'll meet a friendly staff that caters to your every need. There is also a great community of residents that enjoy making new friends. There are many ways to enjoy your stay and make new friends (i.e. the 24 hour weight room, the arcade, the state of the art lobby/common area, and the pool). I have really enjoyed living here so far. From studying in the lobby to swimming in the pool, there is always something to do and always someone around to do it with! It is so close to NIU's campus that I can walk! During the winter months, I don't even have to walk outside to visit my friends that live here too.
