University Plaza is the best place to live if you go to NIU! Everybody who works here is super nice and are always here to help you! The lobby is a nice welcoming environment to come and do homework. There is always something to do here! Being so close to campus is a huge plus! You won't regret living here, sign your lease today before it sells out
I have lived at University Plaza the entire time I have been a student at Northern Illinois University. It has been a great experience and a great place to live! The apartments are spacious, fully furnished, come with cable and your own wifi. They have a 24 hour gym, pool, stand up tanning, free printing!, and rooms available to study in. Living at University Plaza. With the pool and the gym room that's 24 hours is so amazing. Best place to live.
I am staying at this apartment for almost 6 months and I'm happy all the time. It has a swimming which is well maintained, a gym and indoor playing . Also we have free breakfast every Wednesday. Every room is fully furnished and in perfect condition. Definitely recommend this
Too much money for what you get. They are nice apartments and include everything but they charge WAY too much to park $115??? Most apartments in the area were $30 or less. The internet is seriously poor as well and no pets. You also cannot have two people in a one bedroom. Just silly. Nice pool though!
The staff is friendly and helpful. I feel safe on the property and the location can't be beat. The apartments feel brand new and updated. This is the most convenient, safest, and nicest place to live near Northern Illinois University.
As a transfer student in 2015 I wasn't familiar with DeKalb and didn't know many people in town. Now, after living at University Plaza for 2 years I can confidently say I made the right choice. University Plaza provided me with the provisions I sought out. The buildings' architecture and interior décor is aesthetically pleasing. University Plaza is not only a wonderful place to live, but a lovely way to get involved in the campus life of Dekalb. From having several amenities to use, such as a tanning bed and a pool, to the helpful and accommodating staff, and finally the group of lively and diverse students that live in the buildings, you can't really go wrong. I've lived here for 2 years now and it's has been a pleasant experience. Very close to campus, many amenities and a great staff. They also have fun events as well where you can win prizes and get to know other residents. It is a bit expensive, so if you have the means it is a wonderful place to stay.
