Stay away from this pizza place! First of all, the slogan "voted the BEST pizza in Plainfield" must have been by their family members. Pizza was ordered on our first experience and was truly disappointing. Pizza should NOT be sweet, it should have an Italian spice taste. The sauce was miserable. On the second visit, ordered the Half chicken dinner, only to get home and find that I got a half pound of SHRIMP. Called to complain, was told they would deliver to me in 20 minutes. Just tried to order pizza online. An hour later they call and tell us we're too far and they won't deliver. We were willing to go pick it up but they hadn't even made the food yet, even though the projected time for delivery was supposed to be 25 minutes from the time they called. When we asked for a credit for the inconvenience they only offered a $20 credit on an $80 order and then said they could give us a bigger credit but they'd have to override the system. We have been regular customers for years and years with Vita Bella but thru the years...the food and service has gone down hill. We ordered a pizza tonight along with the gorgonzola salad..no gorgonzola at all along with brown mushy avocados...not to mention, very little greens for the mere cost of $10.00. Sadly...this will be our last time ordering. Every since Gina left, things have progressively lagged. Extremely disappointed as the prices are not cheap. Worst place to order. If you want to get the wrong thing every single time, you'll get it here. The carry out girl sucks. They never ever know the menu. I asked the "manager in training" what was in one of their dishes and he had no clue. I have talked to so many people on the quality of the service there and it is just horrible. After a while of giving this place a chance, I am finally done and learned my lesson. Shame on me for thinking they will get their act together. What happen to Vita Bella!?! quality has dropped, people are grumpy and not what it use to be. I hope they revamp their recipes soon.
