Get directionsFantastic people and caregivers. I will recommend Wake Veterinary to everyone.
First time at this particular vet ER due to a snakebite in my Great Pyrenees, Beau, and I will now bring all my pets here! Dr. Kemp and staff were absolutely wonderful, and kept me updated on Beau’s progress throughout our visit. They explained every test and only run what was medically necessary, managing to keep costs low. My farm is located in southern Johnston County and I will happily drive the hour should I have any other emergencies. Wake Vet rocks!
The vet staff and doctor helped me get through a very difficult time. They took care of my senior dog’s emergency quickly & professionally. The vet/doctor who took care of my Thor was so knowledgeable & caring and helped me to make the right decisions for him. I’ve been to this Animal Hospital multiple times over the past decade with my other pets and highly recommend their services.
My 19 year old chihuahua had a medical emergency Sunday. The staff and doctor were so compassionate and supportive! Sadly my baby could not be saved, but the doctor was so caring and understanding and supportive. After today’s visit I have decided to change my current veterinarian to Wake Veterinary Medical Center! Thank you so much for your support and professional care❣️❤️
I chose Wake Veterinary Medical Center in January 2025 before my dog adoption to ensure I got the best practice with top vets, techs, cutting edge techniques and an on-site emergency service as well as a web based emergency service to assess if I needed to go to ER. From the first visit thru her spaying, I was so impressed by their care, time taken with her and follow up. From the front office staff, to the Vet techs to the vets so impressed! I chose to drive from Rocky Mount to Knightdale to have them as my vet. So worth it... read more
Brought my dog in late one night after she picked a fight with her sister and ended up with a 1” hole in her neck. Entire staff were wonderful. Dr Kemp was especially reassuring and I left there knowing my dog was in good hands. Picked her up the next morning and she looked fantastic. I would definitely recommend Dr Kemp and her team .
Our beloved Coakley had a emergency on7/14/25 at 3am. Wake Veterinary Medical Center answered the phone and meet us at the door all staff was very professional and compassionate. Unfortunately we were delivered the sad news that Coakley was not going to make it. The doctor gave us time to spend with Coakley and was with us till the end. I would recommend Wake Veterinary Medical Center to all my family and friends.
My fiancé and I brought our dogs from Carteret County to visit family yesterday evening in the Willow Springs area. Upon arriving they both became wrapped in a yellow jacket nest while trying to potty. Approximately 20 to 40 yellow jackets later Cowboy managed and had improvement from benadryl. Remy, our 2 year old Golden Doodle however, did not. She vomited and our very active pup became extremely lethargic with rapid breathing. We jumped in the truck and rushed her 30 minutes to this facility (it was after 6p.m. and they w... read more
Our 14 month old Yorkie, Bambam, got bitten by a copperhead on July 9th, around 8:00 a.m.. We took him to WVMC and upon getting there, they took him right back. While Bambam had a bad experience with a snake, we all had a great experience at WVMC! All of the employee's we came in contact with, up front, were so nice and helpful. We spoke with Dr. Roncone and she explained what was going on, what they had done, what they needed to do, what they were keeping a close eye on, and any possible complications that could arise.
