RecommendedWe were traveling back from OBX when our Yorkie started having what we thought may be a seizure or stroke. We contacted the closet vet who referred us to Wake. They got all our info over the phone and were waiting for us when we got there. The veterinarian we saw was very compassionate and thorough! Thank God our girl ended up being okay and we were able to continue our journey back home!
The service we received was more than we could possibly expect. Our dog needed to be euthanized and their care made the experience very comforting.

We have been several times with Wakevet. We breed Basset Hounds and we always check our litters with them. Their service is great. We had also used their emergency care for a pair of our dogs . One of them decided that it was a good idea to jump with a pencil in his mouth. The other was hit by a neighbor's car when he went out of our fenced patio. They took such great care of my dog & me during a time when my dog had to blown ACLs & I got who I feel is the best vet period save my dog Pig & now my dog Nash who blow out both ACLs but good as new
After 11 years with my previous Veterinary I needed to make a change. After doing research about Wake Veterinary Center I made my appointment. I was nervous but looking to establish a new clinic. I took my 17 year old Husky mix in last night to put him to sleep. It was after hours. What an amazing team of folks. The two girls who helped get him inside on the stretcher and get everything setup were absolutely amazing. The doctor was wonderful, sweet and very comforting during the process. They have an outdoor patio area where we were able to take care of everything. Highly Rex this place. They deserve more than 5 stars. We visited Wake Vet Hospital late one night when our senior dog unexpectedly took a turn for the worse, and we knew it was time to let her go. All of the staff was so kind, and Dr Hartman thoroughly explained everything so we knew what to expect through the process. We were not rushed at all, and they took things at our pace. The cremation service that they partner with was wonderful as well, and the remembrance items are perfect.
So glad we found this practice! The doctor explained things in a way that made a HUGE amount of info so much easier to digest. We talked about options- both with and without taking age/cost into account. That conversation provided me with so much peace, information and OPTIONS.
