RecommendedDr. Smith was very thorough with her examination of Pinkie and she took a generous amount of time explaining possible diagnoses. She allowed plenty of time for my questions. No diagnostic tests were performed9i88 without my permission. The exam room was clean and the staff were thoughtful and efficient.
I appreciate their great care of Nilla when she swallowed a thumbtack our vet was out of town and referred us. They are friendly and apparently have a good reputation because there were many who had kind words when they knew we had been.
I can not say enough good things about this place!! Our 14 lb rat terrier, Chloe, who has congestive heart failure, got into a bag of milk chocolate chips Thanksgiving day. Best we could figure, she ate 8 oz! ***NOT our home. We had NO idea there was chocolate anywhere she could find it*** They took Chloe in for exam, came back and told us, in detail, how they would treat her *safely* bc of her CHF. I cannot say enough positive things about this hospital. It was very clean and everyone was very kind and accommodating. They got us in and out on a Sunday evening without an unrealistic wait time. The staff was very thorough and knowledgeable and took great care of our dog!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Hartman and staff at Wake Vet. Our bulldog suffered a truly emergent injury after-hours and after being flat-out denied care by both NC State and Blue Pearle (formerly VSH), the staff at Wake immediately took our bulldogs injury seriously and welcomed us for treatment. Truly one of THE BEST veterinary care experiences we have ever had. These folks are the real deal - they CARE about our animals and aren’t just looking to turn a profit or judgmental lecture on breed type. THANK YOU! ❤️❤️❤️
We needed emergency care and Wake Vet was there for us. They got us right in and were so compassionate. They were very thorough and did not overcharge. We are forever grateful!

I had to bring my boy Thor in a few nights ago for emergency treatment. He can be quite reactive and very nervous when going to the Vet. It is very stressful for him. As a Holistic Canine trainer I am very particular about who I go to for treatment of my pups. I was extremely impressed with Dr Gregory Hartman’s bedside manner as well as his knowledge. Thor actually seemed to like him. Lol We had to go back again 2 nights later and Dr Gregory was so wonderful with Thor. I would highly recommend him and Wake Vet.
