I don't agree with the negative reviews. I had an MRI recently at WRA. They were very professional, did not keep me waiting, and the radiologist was very comforting, asking me regurlarly if I was okay. Overall the experience was positive. Having an MRI is unnerving but I would say that they did all they could to comfort me.

After reading all of the reviews, I was fairly nervous about this appointment. Also - I received an email telling me my appointment was at 9:10:00 a.m. - which I assumed was a typo. I called, and after being on hold for several minutes - I was told the appointment was actually at 9:10 a.m. At any rate - the appointment itself was super easy/smooth. This review regards my 3rd visit to Washington Radiology, this time I was referred for a CT-Scan of my chest. I had the option to be referred to any imaging service of my choice, I chose to return to Washington Radiology. BTW, I am a physician specializing in pathology. I had the imaging performed at their Chevy Chase facility, the staff their were wonderful, my experience as a patient was excellent, I was well cared for. Linda Wittle was the technician who did my sonogram today. She is one of the warmest, most competent people I have run into in the medical industry. She really made me feel comfortable and valued. The other staff at WRA at 2141 K St. was really great too.

I'm writing this as a gratefully healthy middle-aged woman who gets annual mammograms and has had some other assorted radiological workups as needed. I'm writing this review of the practice in general, not a specific location. Quality of medical staff: 4.8 stars. Over the years, I've been seen by eight different physicians in person, and had probably a dozen more reviewing radiology results behind the scenes. I am giving WRA three stars instead of five. Their technicians were very friendly, reassuring and professional. That part of the experience was top notch. Unfortunately, their administrative scheduling staff at the front desk leave much to be desired. They had over a week to get my insurance pre-cert completed, which was supposed to be more than adequate. UPDATE: Less than 24 hours after writing my review, I got a call from them to let me know that somehow my insurance company submitted my claim under my brother's insurance (he lives in Ohio - very bizarre) so it was kicked back and will be resubmitted. I really appreciated knowing this now. Would've liked to know it when they originally found out weeks ago, but this is good enough for me. ************* Had to get an MRI back in September - not exactly the most fun experience in the universe. Within the last 2 months I have had several appointments at their Bethesda, Potomac and now Chevy Chase office. I was scheduled for a contrast MRI and biopsy. I am truly the biggest baby when it comes to procedures. The staff was so incredibly kind, patient and gentle that I can't imagine going thru this experience anywhere else. Dr. Holland, Harly and Analisa were such a fantastic team. I'm hoping my results will be negative but if I need more testing, I will certainly return here.

The staff at this location is amazing. They have the kindest and most caring staff greeting the patients, conducting tests, reading and discussing the results and managing the place. I've been coming here for my annual mammograms and they have never missed a best. I especially appreciated the kind and caring mannerisms of their staff when I had to have a biopsy (negative, thank God) last year. This will always be my first choice to have this test performed.
