These are truly some of the rudest people I've ever encountered- it's really shocking. My doctor ordered an imaging test, as I tried to schedule the test, they are not allowed to tell me what prep or anything about the procedure until AFTER you schedule it, which makes ZERO sense. If this is a test that requires fasting, then you should know that before you schedule so you can plan appropriately. I appreciated that the front desk staff and technicians are friendly and efficient. Virtually no waiting time, which is much appreciated. Unfortunately, the radiologist(s) are less efficient. For the second time in two weeks, my referring physician has failed to get the report in a timely fashion. Each time, when I called, WRA advised me that the reports are usually done more quickly, but the radiologist was "behind". Well, my saga could probably fill about five single space pages. Overall, my experience with WRA could not have been more stressful. I was in a lot of pain with my ankle and my doctor ordered an MRI to be done quickly and recommended WRA. I tried to contact the K St. office, but as others noted, it is almost impossible to get through to the K Street office for an appointment. I left several messages and none of them were returned. Quite possible the worst experience I've had at a medical facility, and that is saying something. I did not bring my doctor's order as I had forgotten to bring it to work with me that morning. I called them in advance and I was told they could look it up since they work with my doctor's office. They called my doctor's office and said they sent over the order. This facility is not the best place to have an MRI. They don't have friction socks so when you're going in and out of the MRI room, you soil your own socks and might slip on the floor. The technician didn't help me get in or out of the machine, even though I have back pain. The cushions were worn and ripped. The earplugs they provided were poor, my ears are still ringing a couple of days later Their Philips machine is 12 years old. The discs they burn don't have a label. The operator who scheduled the appointment had very bad attitude . It was so hard to schedule an appointment at Washington DC area and I called 3 Times although she could have done the appointment for me the 1st time when I called. But the staff at Chevy Chase office location was nice and efficient. However next year I will request my Dr to order to my original provider as I do not think the behavior of the operator can convince me that the company is managed well. I come from MD not from CA indicated in the profile
Terrible overbooking. No doctor to review w patient. Stay away at any cost. A factory setting w no personal review., especially important if a woman has had breast cancer. Doesn't even deserve a star. Staff not professional except for one pleasant competent woman at the front desk. Stay away and find somewhere that you don't wait for hours and there a dr to read your scans .
My doctor wrote a prescription for a DXA scan. He said that all I would do is put my forearm in a machine for less than 60 seconds, and I would be done. I recently had spinal surgery on my neck and had several MRIs of my spine. My appointment was at 8:30am. I arrived on time. It's a nice office, with a large flat screen TV. The most incompetent MRI and I've had a lot to compare them to. I was positioned on my stomach with my head down so breathing was difficult and the pillow she put under my right side did not lift my head. They never said it was taking 45 minutes so I had no idea how long the torture was lasting.
