UPDATE: I called WRA this morning and after speaking to a scheduler who told me the best she could do was an appointment in 2 months (!), I spoke to a manager who gave me a cancellation appointment 2 weeks from my original appointment. While pleased the manager accommodated me (and I immediately received a confirmation email and text), it still never should have come to this. After waiting weeks to get mammogram results, I called to see what was up. Was hung up on by the system four different times before I finally went to the line for doctors in order to reach a human. Apparently they don't notify you of your results, you have to APPLY for them through a portal and wait 3-5 days. So apparently I could have had a massive tumor and no one would let me know. Still haven't received the results.
They gave me a 7:15 appointment (and told me to be 15 min early) when the doors don't even open until 7:30. I saw the technician who performed my scan arrive at 7:40 and I was taken back at 7:45. So they never had the ability or intention to honor my appointment time. Otherwise seemed fine, but that is just unacceptable in my opinion.
These people are incompetent. They do not send the images your doctor, just a summary report. They never mention that when you are there. Then you have to request your records. No acknowledgement is provided. They just say wait 7-10 days. Then the records never come. They do not answer the phone to follow up. They just say send another request. Meanwhile, your medical condition cannot be treated. Extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. They do not care one bit.
Sent a text on Thanksgiving Day to say I had suspicious result. Unable to call the next four days and when finally reachable, couldn't give a follow up date for weeks.
Waiting over an hour for a scheduled mammogram. Taking walk-ins before scheduled appointments. "Double-booking." When will they respect patients' time?
Call to schedule bone density because you don't have the option to schedule on line. WRA scheduler Very robotic sounding and little to no help in trying to help locate my drs order that was faxed over yesterday. None caring and icy personality. I have used WRA for years but this time will be my last.
The quality of the care was excellent, both doctors and techs. But it was two months from the first scan until I was called with benign results on a biopsy: almost a month's wait between first scan and second one, same for biopsy. Seems to me that it was way too long to make patients put their lives on hold.
The machines for mammogram are not comfortable or designed for women. They should explain that if you get a diagnostic exam then it is not covered by the insurance. The nurses are good but they should have female doctors to do breast exams. It's very uncomfortable to be examined by a male doctor.
