In the past I had several providers for my business telephone service. Almost two years ago i started to look for upgrade my service since my business started to grow and more lines were required. I love that I can view a list of calls made and received. I also love that my voicemails show up in my email.
The thing that we like the best is that it has a mobile application and the desk phone can be transferred to a cell phone. I personally like how i can use the desk top version to quickly send someone an IM or look up an extension with out having to look in a directory.The whole idea behind it is just brilliant. Since everything is at our fingertips there is no more yelling throughout the office, we just send an IM or click on a phone number for some in in our favorites.
I like that the connection is always clear. I signed up for 8X8 over a year ago. But we moved 7 months ago to a new city. The new cable company promised a high speed line with great connection. Sounded like I was whispering and in the next room. I dropped it immediately and went to unpack the 8X8 system from our moving boxes. I unpacked the phone and hooked it up. Virtual Office and Customer Service and quality of product. 1) Virtual office is a wonderful tool that has helped us locate where our project managers are, weather they are in a meeting our out on a job site, the front desk receptionist has better knowledge of statuses. I enjoy that I receive an email when I'm on the road allowing me access to get the information about the call. This allows me to keep in contact so things don't slip thru the cracks. I find that the caller really appreciates that I respond asap.
The ability to access our calls and VM from anywhere. Also the ability to use the computer as the phone hub so that we can use a better quality headset when taking the calls.
Working remotely from home, 8x8 allows me to stay connected with all of my co-workers. Where ever my lap top is, my work station is! I am able to join conference calls and even virtual meeting from my lap top with 8x8.
