The flexibility. I work remotely so it's not always easy to take my desk phone along with me, but with 8x8 I have my desk line wherever I go. I love the Virtual Office app, and the web conferencing really helps me connect with clients and co-workers. 8x8 helps me feel like I'm always in the office - even though I'm usually not.
As a school teacher, I enjoy the fact that I can recieve and make calls from my classroom instead of having to give out my cell phone number or having to constantly check my emails to see if someone has returned my initial call. Another enjoyable aspect is the instant message feature through the desktop app. Instead of emailing or calling my classroom and disrupting my class with the phone ringing, teachers and other staff members are able to send me a message and we are able to communicate seamlessly without issue.
When I came to my company in January of this year I found a large amount of outdated technology being used to run the day to day operations. The redundancy and overall cost of these systems was an unnecessary drain on the operating budget.
