As a small business, our old phone system used to provide intra-office connectivity for a staff of two. In order to scale it up to a staff of six, we had to go through several nickel-and-diming steps that eventually got all 6 a phone, but it involved an installations fee over (thousands), new hardware in the server room, and new phones. The ability to access calls away from the office and the clients doesn't know the difference. Very intuitive to use.
Whenever I forget to establish out-of-office voicemail in my office phone, I can always use the 8x8 app on my cell phone to record and set specific voicemail greetings on the go.
The biggest factor is that I can use it when traveling or working remote from home. No missed calls, faxes, etc. We can then forward any messages to others in our office for quick handling, etc.

We're a distributed team, and the team members who have 8x8 phones on their desks are in Chicago, Detroit and near Vancouver, BC. We can reach each other with a push of a button, and all of our calls sound as clear as if we were sitting at the next desk. 8x8 has totally professionalized our 6 year old agency!
Had an issue with phone calls dropping and buzzing noise in the phone. Said that removing the call recording service would fix issue. Isn't that part of the service I'm paying for? Then went to cancel service and they say I have to give a 30 day notice to cancel so I got charged another 185.00 for service I didn't need. Pretty bad customer service for a company I paid for over 5 years to handle my phone service.
