It was great while it worked It was great while it worked. Now, three months later, it won't recognize that there is paper to scan which means it won't scan. AT $200 dollars for a simple scanner, I expected better. I have all-in-one units that cost less and have lasted much longer. I would not buy this again.
Totally useless. DO NOT BUY! This is an update to my original review. Now that I have been using this scanner for a good while I can give a very educated review. My previous statement: "The paper feed is also a little inadequate in that the edge guides don't hold the paper well enough so it leans to one side and jams. Great scanner, very versatile I could write pages about this scanner. Suffice it to say, I had to make a decision among many scanners based on Amazon reviews, and I settled on this one despite some of the "cons" people listed. The set up really wasn't that bad. If you know how to set up a wireless router, you should be able to set this thing up. I have it connected to my wireless network and plugged into my desktop computer. Poor Quality It pretty much never fed the paper straight. It's pretty useless if everything scans crooked.
Won’t scan family pics in good quality but a nice scanner for many other things.... We actually bought this because we wanted to digitize years worth of family pictures. And we were tired of setting the pics down on a glass scanner, making sure they were straight, closing the top, pressing the scan buttons etc etc. But, this scanner really sucks at pictures. BizCards is garbage. The OCR is piss-poor I bought this mostly for scanning business cards. It's not reliable with the auto-feeder so I have to use the manual "credit card" feeder instead. Not a big deal because you have to manually check every scan to make sure the OCR is accurate. Where the big problem comes in is with the software bundle. Simply put, BizCards is garbage. So disappointed in my choice!!! This is the worst device I have bought in a long time. People will tell you how it is small, compact, fits on your desks. It evens scans at a decent speed. Now the negatives: I have been trying to go paperless for weeks. cant scan single sided only scanned double sided which took for ever. froze my computer every time. Found something much better for the price that worked efficiently and has an option for double or single sided. keep looking its on amazon!
